Re: Question about the Existence of God. |

I'm trying to understand this argument about the existence of God
thing.
My problem is with the notion of existence. Does "the little green me
who don't exist who live under my bed" exist?
It seems to me that if it doesn't exist then I don't exist, and if it
does
exist then God exists. Put another way: Assume God is only a story
told by millions of people. I am only a story told by trillions of
cells.
God and I have the same ontological status -- we either both exist
or both do not exist.

No essence. No permanence. No perfection. Only action.
Here are some definitive examples of existence: inclusive of essence,
permanance, perfection, and (hopefully) action:
1. Anjelina Jolie slowly undoing the first button of her blouse.
2. Finding enough shake left in the bottom of the bag for a pinner
3. Jeff Beck playing "Cause We've Ended as Lovers"
4. Discovering that your misfortune may not be your fault, but is your
responsibility
5. Realizing that Descarte's simplistic arguments are as conclusive as
a sleigh ride down a mobius strip; circular, unending and intended for
the intellectual tail chaser
Please stop reading trash. Please start existing in this world. Please
stop playing with toys that are too advanced for you to understand how
to operate. It's simply embarrasing.
If you're going to propogate this baloney please read Immanuel Kant's
"Critique of Pure Reason" first. Then come back here fully armed to
defend yourself.
For cryin' out fucking loud, where do you people come from???

Descarte's first step was wrong. Thoughts may arise, but this
is not proof that there is a singularity thinking those thoughts.
