It's totally illogical to assume that without Christ, who was a
pacifist, and commanded us to love our enemies instead of killing them, all
those thing you list would not have happened. The truth is that without
Christ, the world would a far worse off. We would have atheists, like
communists, rule the world killing all who oppose them. You would be an
atheist not because you want to be, but because you are forced to be one.

Actually, not all religions have done so. Buddhism, for example, has
supported fewer of these inhuman activities than most other religions,
including xtianity.

I do not hold up atheism as being a religion, nor a source of all god
things, but atheism, by itself, does not justify religious wars or
religious persecutions, so at least does not aggravate man's inhumanity
to man.

The evidence on this issue is, at best, ambiguous. The religious wars in
Europe between different flavors of xtianity certainly did not make the
world a better place.

Atheists are not out proselytizing the way the various xtian groups are.
Even in the supposedly atheist USSR, xtianity and judaism, while
repressed, were not eliminated, so where is your evidence that atheists
CAN force anyone to be one? They certainly have not imposed the auto da
fe and inquisition powers that xtians have.

Here's one reason why Mr. Milton Stapleton (alias Pete Stapleton,

and wife, to the point where the state of Hawaii had to SUE HIM for
BACK CHILD SUPPORT.
We may want to consider the disagreeable fact that Peat may have done
the right thing by abandoning his children. Think of how badly they
would have turned out if he'd been around when they were growing up!
But fear not, he's still a scumbag for refusing to support them.
The following is taken from the public records of the State of Hawaii's
Family Court of the Third Circuit, March 12, 1987:
'Defendant [Stapleton] on or about August 1977 and subsequent thereto
has failed or neglected to provide reasonable support for said
child(ren) according to his means and earning capacity."

34"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
35"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother
in law."

You have a very fucked up opinion of atheists, Frank. It's no wonder
we think so lowly of Christians. A few atheist leaders in the past
have indeed instigated genocide, but it was not in the name of atheism.
You can't seem to separate political issues from religious issues,
which is probably why so many of you think a marriage between church
and state would be a good thing.
