Is anyone who says that he or she is kind, kind... or do you look to

who says that they are a leader.... do you take them at their word? This
may come as a shock to you ;), but people lie (for many reasons) all the
time, and it's no different for a claim of Christianity. I could claim
to be a Buddhist but my ignorance of Buddhist teachings would "out" me
darned quick. Your claim that there's "no metric" is simply untrue.

If you want to determine whether someone is a club member or not,
you look at what the club has historically stood for and whether
the someone acts and advocates what that club stands for.
Ergo Pat Robertson, Adolf Hitler, George Bush, and Tony Blair are
undeniably Christians -- or was Christian in Hitler's case.
Everything else are lame attempts to deny Christianity.

Christianity is no more a "club" than Veganism is a "club" -
Christianity IS a lifestyle choice, nothing more, nothing less. Has the
label of "Christian" been perverted by liars who try to rewrite the
origional, simple. liberal message to support any manner of hate, greed,
and perversion? No doubt about it. For a more "modern day" version of

No... Christianity is (as I stated in the part of my post that you
snipped) a lifestyle choice, like Veganism. Would you consider someone
to be a Vegan - even if they clamed to be one - if they ate meat on a
regular basis?
As for your point about Christianity being "historically bloody and
evil" I'd simply respond that mankind has been historically bloody and
evil - as well as being historically kind and caring - "Christianity"
(CHRINOs and true Christians) is a subset of mankind. I'm curious, are

Just as there are RINOs and DINOs, there are PLENTY of CHRINOs.
Let's stick with the issues.
I've been doing that.
1: Christianity is a club, undeniably.
Your rote repetition of your assertion doesn't make it true.... even if
you state that your assertion is "undeniable."
You're resorting to the same level of tool that people who assert that:
"Blacks are..." (or more likely "Niggers are..."), "Men are....", "Women
are....", "Liberals are....", "Athiests are....", "Americans are.....",
"Muslims are..." -- followed up with the most hateful list of dubious
"accomplishments" that can be pinned on any one of the focus subsets of
humanity -- was that your intent?
Christianity is NOT "a group of people organized for a common purpose"
it IS a lifestyle choice. Christians either abide by what the man they
call Christ instructed them to do (turn the other cheek, love others as
they love themselves, pray in a personal and private way...) or they are
NOT Christians, they're CHRINOs. The fact that you seem very eager to
lump these CHRINOs in to what you label (falsely) as the "club" of
Christianity makes me question your objectivity..... unless you use this
same technique with every other group of people? Do you view Muslims as
nothing more than "a bloody bunch of Ragheads bent on the destruction of
the Western world," or Americans as nothing more than "a bloody bunch of
idiots bent on the destruction of the world?"
2: Christianity is historically deadly, bloody, and evil, even
by its own standards.
As I pointed out in my earlier post, Christianity is a subset of
mankind... and mankind isn't (historically or today) very kind -
expecially if there's any way to label and deride a specified subset as
being "different" in order to scapegoat them. There are - and have been,
thank goodness - exceptions to that "unkind" mass thinking, and kneejerk
scapegoating of the specified target "other," both in Christianity, and
in the rest of humanity.
You're immune to this sort of kneejerk thinking, of course. ;)
3: Anyone who says he or she is a Christian _is_ a Christian.
There is no other metric for determining.
Not true. A person who claims to be a Christian - and follows the
teachings of Christ - is a Christian, and those who don't are human (and
in error). The metric for determining whether they're Christian or not
is to watch what they do. Like that "Vegan" I keep pointing out - and
you keep snipping - who eats meat.
4: By their fruits ye shall know them.
Exactly! You've made my point for me.
And we see that with Bush's
crimes against humanity and his treason against America, he is
undeniably a Christian.
Wrong. You're basing your statement on false assumptions.
He is undeniably an American, but it's very unlikely that he's a true
Christian - unless he truly IS so completely out-of-the-loop that his he
doesn't have any clue as to what "he" has been doing to the US, and to
the world. The "fruits" his administration drop are poisonous to
America, (Christian, Athiest, Agnostic, Muslim, Jew, Wiccan, Diest....
etc.) and are (IMO) evil.

The fact that Christianity is a club makes it true. You wish to

2: Christianity is historically deadly, bloody, and evil, even

Irrelevent. Christianity's history is bloody and evil and

stands for.
3: Anyone who says he or she is a Christian _is_ a Christian.
There is no other metric for determining.
Not true. A person who claims to be a Christian - and follows the
teachings of Christ - is a Christian
The "teachings of Christ" have been followed for over 2,000 years
and, as previously mentioned, they're deadly, evil to the core.
4: By their fruits ye shall know them.
Exactly! You've made my point for me.
You're ignoring what Christianity stands for and what it actually
is because you want to pretend it's something that's niot utterly evil.
And we see that with Bush's
crimes against humanity and his treason against America, he is

Wrong. You're basing your statement on false assumptions.
Bush is a Christian. A war criminal. A mass murdering butcher who
hears the Christian gods ordering him to commit crimes against
humanity. Denial is silly.

to defend a poorly-reasoned point by taking statements out-of-context -=20
that isn't your intent, is it?
Christianity's history is bloody and evil and
anyone who joins the club is in agreement with what Christianity
stands for.
=20
Since Christianity isn't a club, your point lacks foundation - and as=20
I've pointed out repeatedly - it's MANKIND's history that is bloody and=20
evil. If you can name ONE continuingly (and fairly old) pure (as in=20
never perverted or misrepresented for personal gain) non-bloody,=20
non-evil movement/lifestyle/religion followed by any sub-section of=20
mankind..... I'll be very impressed.
Your repeated attempt to paint Christianity as standing alone and apart=20
in "its" bloody and evil history appears to be nothing more than a=20
shallow attempt to let the REST of humanity off (from ITS bloody and=20
evil history) with a free pass. Do you really claim that the rest of=20
humanity does NOT have a bloody and evil history?
=20
3: Anyone who says he or she is a Christian _is_ a Christian.
There is no other metric for determining.
Not true. A person who claims to be a Christian - and follows the=20
teachings of Christ - is a Christian
=20
=20
The "teachings of Christ" have been followed for over 2,000 years
and, as previously mentioned, they're deadly, evil to the core.
Really? What specific thing did Christ say (or is he quoted in the New=20
Testament as having said) that you consider to be deadly, or evil?
=20
=20
4: By their fruits ye shall know them.
Exactly! You've made my point for me.
=20
=20
You're ignoring what Christianity stands for and what it actually
is because you want to pretend it's something that's niot utterly evil.=
No. I'm not. I know very well how a mask of "Christianity" (or any major =
religion, or movement - animal rights or anti-war, for example - for=20
that matter) can be (and has been) used as camoflage for all sorts of=20
self-serving, and truly evil deeds - performed by evil-minded,=20
self-serving, and frequently very shallow and bigoted people. Are you=20
satisfied that all aspects of humanity should be defined and categorized =
by the actions of its lowest, meanest, and least sane members? Lies, and =
liars, infest every one of our institutions.
=20
=20
And we see that with Bush's
crimes against humanity and his treason against America, he is
undeniably a Christian.
Wrong. You're basing your statement on false assumptions.
=20
=20
Bush is a Christian.
Bush SAYS he's a Christian.
A war criminal. =20
I tend to agree.
A mass murdering butcher who
hears the Christian gods ordering him to commit crimes against
humanity.
Bush SAYS he "hears God" telling him things..... but then, Bush SAYS all =
sorts of crazy things, doesn't he?
How frequently - in your opinion - does he tell the truth?
Denial is silly.
Denial IS silly, true.... what's your take on bigotry?

What do YOU think "the subject" is -- since you've deemed this one
"irrelevent" time and again? Why did you, again, choose to snip - and
fail to respond to - my response to your repeated assertion (based on
nothing more substantive than your own opinion) that "Christianity is a
club."
Are you unable to back your assertions with anything other than your own
"gut feeling?" Are you annoyed that I'm not just taking your word for it
and going away? Get over it, Fred. We agree on many subjects, but you're
not doing yourself - or anyone who agrees with you - any favors by
repeatedly and obviously conducting your exchanges in a less than honest
manner. We disagree on a small issue - and you're angry about it.....
whereas I'm not. That alone, should tell you something.

LOL! I am not a Republican, Fred, and the message's subject is (as it
has been) "Real Christians should denounce Robertson"..... a statement I
agree with, and support wholeheartedly.
I know that "real Christians" (separate and distinct from CHRINO phonies
like Robertson and Bush) exist - and YOU (as exposed by your continued
rote pressing of your "club" idea) DON'T. Your argument has been that
"Christians" ARE Christians (a "club") - no matter what each of them as
individuals do, believe, or think - and that there's nothing good,
different, or "real" to differentiate any of them so they are ALL
LOW-LIFE, LYING BUTCHERS, and SCUM. That's fairly accurate, isn't it? So
we disagree, no reason to go all "ad hom" on me ("Republican" geez,
that's dirty ;) is there?
My posts have remained on-topic, and responsive to what you've posted.
Yours have continued to snip the portions of my responses that ask you
to respond to and SUPPORT the individual claims you've made (you don't).
You simply ignore what I've asked, and repeat your opinion/assertion
(a "tactic" very like what George W Bush does, now that I think of it)
that "Christianity is a club" and has a "bloody history" somehow
distinct from that of the rest of humanity. Boring stuff, Fred, really.
I'm not remotely interested in trying to convert you, trust me. I GET
(really, really do) that you don't like "Christianity." I AM interested
in reading a well-reasoned (let's just set the "club" issue aside for a
bit, okay?) response to the claims you've made, and run away from. If
you're not willing to do that, no big deal - for me.
