If everybody did that, there would be no xtians.

If the Bible is "scientifically accurate" why is recognition of the
"fact" solely ex post facto?
This is to say that I'd be inclined to take the claim that the Bible
is more scientifically accurate than the cultural level of its various
authors would suggest ("supernaturally scientifically accurate?!) a
bit more seriously if your exegesis revealed a new fact or theory
which could subsequently be validated by the scientific method, rather
than the usual method of "freely interpreting" various passages to
agree with what's currently know through science.
For example, some Christians hold that Psalm 90 Verse 4 hints at time
dilation. e.g.
http://www.bible-quotes-science-info.com/art/einstein-theory-relativity.htm
"For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone
by, or like a watch in the night." (NIV).
Personally, I'd be a lot more inclined to believe this kind of thing
had some pre-Einstein theology scholar taken a look at that passage
and noted "obviously implies that t' = 1/ sqrt(1-v^2)" or similar.
Which is to say that recognition of the "scientific asides" of the
Bible are always after the fact and never before it.

Well, the Bible does tell of "They that are happy to dash the young ones
upon the rocks." Maybe "young ones" was a metaphor about sperm and
semen... Hm.

call that study, I call that brainwashing.
I have spent many years studying the bible as a christian. I finally tossed
