Hello to all.
I've been a Christian most of my life, but to be honest with you I have
quite a few problems with the practice of Christianity as it now stands
and I worry about the destabilizing influence all of this religious
fighting is having on the world today. My wife is a devout Lutheran and
she goes ballistic any time I question anything in the Bible or the New
Testament. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions as to how
to communicate with religious extremists about the harmful affects of
religion in the world today. Thanks. Bill
What "harmful effects"? You sound like an atheist liar who never
supplest evidence for his perennially and invariably negative judgments.
Atheist people live in a non-fictional, real world. Religion breeds liars
and fairy tales.
That's merely atheist dogma based on belief, or rather disbelief and
faith. You have no facts to support your disbeliefs!!

Ask her, (using the words 'theoretically speaking' or 'hypothetically
speaking') if there could be *anything* and you mean *anything* that could
convince her that she *could* just be wrong. (Emphasize the word 'could'.).
If she says 'No.' Point out that she's committed intellectual suicide and
has no place of standing in any discussion regarding' 'God' or the Bible.
She has *none*. Why's that?. she might ask. Because she won't even allow for
the *possibility* that she's wrong. Stress that you said, 'anything'. That
would include the truth.

You must be kidding. Is that what you ask of your political
representatives? Does Bush admit he "might" be wrong about his kick-*****
policies? Not on your life!!!!!
Religious values are "the rock", the basic principle by which we live.
Few Christians live by the most important commandments of Christ. They are
just too inconvenient. It's easier to live by the commandments of YHVH who
doesn't mind having His Hebrews kill all that breatheth" in the entire
country, to "possess the land" and "reap where you have not sown". See below
both
Pastor Frank
The most important, yet most ignored commandments of Christ, which would
make war, if not ALL of man's inhumanity to man extinct, nay totally
unthinkable:
THE ROYAL LAW OF CHRIST
**Jesus in Mk 12:30: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy
strength: this is the first commandment.
**31: And the second is alike, namely this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
**Jesus in Mat 22:40 "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments."
THE GOLDEN RULE OF CHRIST, or Ethic of Reciprosity
Jesus in Matt. 7:12: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men
should do to you, do ye even so to them...."
The below atrocities were committed shortly after the God of the Jews,
YHVH, gave Moses the 10 commandments, forbidding Jews to covet their
neighbour's property and kill them to get a hold of it.
We know through Christ, that our glorious Father which is in heaven
never commands anyone to kill, but rather to love and convert the
unconverted. Yet Jews and some Christians want us to believe, that YHVH,
though "the same yesterday, today and tomorrow" gave dispensation to
Jews to commit the sins of both coveting and fratricide. Jews were to kill
their Semitic brothers, sisters and their children and life-stock, in fact
they were to "kill all that breatheth" in the entire country, in order for
them to "occupy the land" and "reap where you have not sown". The
result was the horrific obscenity below, a genocidal holocaust of gigantic
proportions.
--------
Deuteronomy 20:16-17 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord
thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing
that breatheth. But thou shalt utterly destroy them; the Hittites, and the
Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites
as the Lord thy God has commanded thee."
Ezekiel 32:5 "I will strew your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the
valleys with your carcass. I will drench the land even to the mountains with
your flowing blood..."
Ezekiel 9:5 "Pass through the city after him, and smite; your eye shall
not spare and you shall show no pity; slay old men outright, young men and
maidens, little children and women...'"
Deut. 7:1 (KJV)When Yahweh your god has settled you in the land you're
about to occupy, and driven out many infidels before you...you're to cut
them down and exterminate them. You're to make no compromise with
them nor show them any mercy.
Joshua 10:40 - BBE So Joshua struck all the land, the hill-country, and
the South, and the lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings: he left
none remaining, but he utterly destroyed all that breathed, as YHVH, the
God of Israel, commanded."
1 Samuel 15:3 - BBE Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all
that they have, and don't spare them; but kill both man and woman, infant
and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and donkey."
Isaiah 13:16 - BBE Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before
their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped."
Hosea 13:16 - BBE Samaria will bear her guilt; For she has rebelled
against her God. They will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed
in pieces, And their pregnant women will be ripped open."
Psalms 137:9 - Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little
ones against the stones.
Moses in Numbers 31:17-18 Now therefore kill every male among the
little ones, and kill every woman, that hath known man by lying with him.
But all the female children, that have not known man by lying with him,
keep alive for yourself.

The question posed had nothing to do with politics.
Wrong!! Both religion and politics are belief systems. The first in
regards to personal qualities, being honesty, caring, loving generous etc.
etc., the other about what is the most profitable course of action to
sustain a high standard of living. The latter is devoid of morality, for you
will kill in order to gain what you want.
It had to do with trying to get a religious zealot to listen to reason in

You will never be able to get objective nor verifiable proof, that
loving another is better than killing him or her. It will alsways be a mere
opinion, a matter of belief and faith. People hate and fear atheists,
because you can see in the way they look at people, that they always need to
to figure out logically, whether it is better to kill you, or to love and
care about you.
Therefore: Make up your mind which values you will accept on faith
alone, and you can't go wrong accepting the principles of Jesus Christ,
which state: Do unto others what you want them to do unto yourself. See

That's merely atheist dogma based on belief, or rather disbelief and
faith. You have no facts to support your disbeliefs!!
*
And you have no evidence to support your belief.
If one has evidence, one believes.
If one has no evidence, one does not believe.
If one has no evidence, but believes anyway, he has faith.
earle
*
PS: To William Elliott -- ask your devout Lutheran wife if she
believes this:
"He who hears this name [God] from a Jew must inform the
authorities, or else throw sow dung at him when he sees him and
chase him away."
"But what will happen even if we do burn down the Jews' synagogues
and forbid them publicly to praise God, to pray, to teach, to utter
God's name? They will still keep doing it in secret. If we know that
they are doing this in secret, it is the same as if they were doing
it publicly for our knowledge of their secret doings and our
toleration of them implies that they are not secret after all and
thus our conscience is encumbered with it before God."
"If we wish to wash our hands of the Jews' blasphemy
and not share in their guilt, we have to part company
with them. They must be driven from our country."
"Whoever wishes to be a Christian, let him pluck out the eyes of
his reason," "We must give reason a vacation and enter a different
school. We must refrain from consulting reason. We must bid reason
hold its peace; we must order it to be dead. We must gouge out its
eyes and pluck its feathers...," "You must kill the other thoughts
and the ways of reason or of the flesh, for God detests them."

Hello to all.
I've been a Christian most of my life, but to be honest with you I
have
quite a few problems with the practice of Christianity as it now
stands
and I worry about the destabilizing influence all of this religious
fighting is having on the world today. My wife is a devout Lutheran
and
she goes ballistic any time I question anything in the Bible or the
New
Testament. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions as to
how
to communicate with religious extremists about the harmful affects of
religion in the world today. Thanks. Bill
What "harmful effects"? You sound like an atheist liar who never
supplest evidence for his perennially and invariably negative
judgments.
Atheist people live in a non-fictional, real world. Religion breeds
liars
and fairy tales.
That's merely atheist dogma based on belief, or rather disbelief and
faith. You have no facts to support your disbeliefs!!
And you have no evidence to support your belief.
If one has evidence, one believes.
If one has no evidence, one does not believe.
If one has no evidence, but believes anyway, he has faith.
We know that, because religion is about what is good and what is evil,
both being merely opinion held in belief and faith. There is no objective
and verifiable evidence nor proof, that something is good or evil, except by
opinion of authoritative people, like judges or Jesus Christ.
We both believe Jesus Christ, and believe and have faith IN Jesus
Christ.

I have seen atheists in their terminal phase of cynicism, paranoia and

How cynical and paranoid you are with your rants against those people
who do not accept your beliefs. It is a shame you are not self aware
enough to see the irony of your proclamations.
You are using what is known as in psychological terms as 'projection'.
You are taking your own faults, and 'projecting' them onto others. Sad,

What are you trying to say? Is having faith in your parents, wife
and
child, as well as your ideals as represented and demonstrated by your
God, and which you seek to live up, are they all misplaced?
I have seen atheists in their terminal phase of cynicism, paranoia
and despair losing it in front of their children. When his little child
says: "I love you daddy", they would scream back: Prove it you little
parasite!!! You only say that, so I will keep feeding and caring for
you.
But I can see through your lies and deception!!!!
I take it that you know this from _personal_ experience, as the abusive
father in question. You being, in fact, an atheist and all.
Glad to see you having faith after all, and stepping down from your
atheism.
Do you wonder sometimes whether anyone will be sorry when you die? If so,
wonder no more. If you remain the liar and hypocrite you are, people will
be _relieved_ when you breathe your last.
Now FOAD, you lying piece of *****.
You are not dealing with the subject of faith here, but start farting ad
hominem to avoid doing so. I think you REALLY believe we are all stupid and
you are the only smart one around ROFL.

Please stop projecting your monotheistic hatred into our pristine
