Your assessment is generally correct. Most of the last 20 years were
concerned with how to defeat a Soviet-type Army on a battlefield, not
how to win a war of insurgency.
The way the war is currently waged in Irak brings into question that
status,in
the sense that many people outside the US will cease to believe that
America is a superpower if this Iraki matter drags on too long.In
light of that armed conflict, the US political and military leardership
appears as rather incompetent.
Thus Spake God's Creator; (I don't forgive *****!)
Many people outside the US have known for years,
that America is only *ONE* of several superpowers.
Any nation that has WMD's is a superpower, any
nations leaders *(in their right mind)* will not
*F*ck* with them.
Except a *DUMBO* like GWB. :(
Missile Defense Systems are useless in Biological-Warfare,
OR even Terrorists with _small_ containers of Chemical Weapons.
There is an *Economic* war now being waged against America,
by China and India (2.5) Billion people providing cheaper and
*Better* products _and_ services can easily render the U.S.
capitalism system........ Impotent. (Not so with Communism).
GOD'S CREATOR
...That was my only sin... :(
