Smith said Laney's 8- and 6-year-old sons, who died, were

"severely

beaten in the head with what appeared to be a rock." He said

Laney

told authorities that God told her to kill her children.

Will someone please try to explain again the so called value of
religion? Every few months it seems that we read about another

case

like this. "God made me do it!" If there were a god, it should be

on

trial along with the defendant.

It's one of those funny little blind spots in society. Crises and

scandals

and horrors are pretty much just run of the mill *normal for

religion. Yet

people just blank it out.

Good point.

Indeed. It's the same mentality at work that praises gawd for "saving"
2 people from a plane crash that kills 200. They have strong mental
filters that would instantly fry the ironymeters of sane people.

The sad thing is they're normal and we are the outliers. Sucks.

Good point.

And then when ***** like Columbine breaks out, Fundamentalists like Tom
DeLay blames Evolution, even as the two gunmen grew up in church-going
Christian families.
