it's just never caught on here. in fact it's not in our parlance at all. i
had to discover what WC meant.
so if you're in SA and you ask where the WC is, you will not be
understood.

I have no idea of their understanding.
most South Africans would not know what WC meant. Some South Africans with
one foot in England would know.
