RE: THE MYTH OF THE GREAT FLOOD |
Have any of you read "Paradise Lost"?
One theme is that "the fall" came about because the angels do have some sort
of limited "free will."
I don't know, and I'm not even arguing for their existence.
Any thoughts?

Here's a question that's a bit off topic: Were the angels supposed to have
free will too? I thought free will was one of the big things that
distinguished humans from angels.
Loubert, the angels are higher than man. If man has free will, so do the
angels.
Roamns 8 - 11. We have no free will.
If you are going to babble bible bumpf at us, at least bother to
read that silly book and get it right.
See Romans 11:7-12.
God makes some men blind and deaf to religous truth.
Now, why would an omnibenevolent god do that?
If we are not allowed free will, why not just make all men
good and true believers and saved?
If god can do that, and we see here in Romans free will is NOT important to
god, all is predetermined, (see Romans 8) and god is omnibenevolent, then
god is duty bound to make all men true believers, good, and thus saved.
Free will acording to the bible is of no importance at all to god.
So it is not an excuse for anything at all.
The problem is, people who made these things up didn't think
them through.

Here' something else you need to learn about newsgroups: top posting is
annoying! Your newsreader probably automatically puts your cursor at the
top, but you MUST resist the urge to type at that point. Being a responsible
netizen means ALWAYS POSTING AT THE BOTTOM, and always trimming back the
message to which you are responding, but leaving enough of it so subsequent
readers can follow your meaning without having to get the previous message
in the thread.

It's a story.
Okay, I didn't say it was a great thought, but it was the first thing that
came to mind ;)

Yes.
Top posting is considered rude.
