1. In the AA method of recovery, members avoid triggers, emotions, and
places that either causes or predesposes them to drink.
First, a correction. The BB says that "we do not avoid such places as long
as we have a legitamate reason for being there".
cult defines minutiae of life.
Anyway - what does it all matter? If RR helps you to stay sober, then go for
it! Good for you! If AA helps you to stay sober, then go for it! Good for
you! If standing on your head while singing "John Jacob Jingleheimer
Schmidt" helps you to stay sober, then go for it! Good for you! The
important thing is staying sober - not what method you use to do so.
missing the point as always.
NA / AA is a cult. cults are harmful.
Every cult can be defined as a group having all of the following 5
characteristics:
1. It uses psychological coercion to recruit, indoctrinate and retain
its members.
AA is a program of attraction...not promotion.
2. It forms an elitist totalitarian society.
I just got to laugh at how you will attempt to compare this one.
3. Its founder leader is self-appointed, dogmatic, messianic, not
accountable and has charisma.
Well?...
4. It believes 'the end justifies the means' in order to solicit
funds recruit people.
well?
5. Its wealth does not benefit its members or society
Oh! This ought to be good...give it your best shot.
