The truth of the baptism by the Holy Spirit
=20
Within the Pentecostal Movement they have the truth of the
baptism by the Holy Spirit as their speciality. They mean that
this is a truth which the Pentecostal Revival has conveyed.
Yet, a fact is that the truth of the baptism by the Holy Spirit
has never been preached within the Pentecostal Movement.
Why? Therefore, that the truth of the baptism by the Holy
Spirit is entirely incompatible with the assembly view and
assembly doctrine they have within the Pentecostal
Movement.
=20
The Pentecostal preachers have all the time had a half-truth
about the baptism by the Holy Spirit. They mean that the
baptism by the Holy Spirit is only for those who are born
again. Yet, on the day of Pentecost Peter spoke to unsaved
people: "Repent and be baptized, each one of you on the
name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts. 2:38.
=20
Consider, that Peter promised unsaved people who were not
born again, that they would get the Holy Spirit as a gift.
When they received the Holy Spirit, what happened then?
Then they got the new life in Christ and were born again.
Observe. The Holy Spirit himself is the gift, not only the
experience of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. The Holy
Spirit gives us the new life in Christ so that we become born
again.

When God created the first man, Adam, he breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7. When Jesus baptizes us by the Holy Spirit, it is
a new act of creation. The Holy Spirit gives us the new life
in Christ and we become born again. "So then if anyone is in
Christ, that one is a new creation; the old things have passed
away; behold, all things have come to be new!" 2 Cor. 5:17.
From having been only created beings, we become relatives
to the Creator. Jesus' Father is our Father and we are all
brothers and sisters in Christ. The Assembly of God is God's
family.
=20
The doctrine of the Pentecostal Movement is degradation of
baptism by the Holy Spirit. They mean that the baptism by
the Holy Spirit is only an extra experience and equipment
that we can get, but not needed for our salvation. The truth
is the contrary. A person who is not baptized by the Holy
Spirit can neither be born again. The Holy Spirit gives us the
new life in Christ so that we become born again. Through the
new birth we enter the Assembly of God. We are fellow
citizens of the saints and of the household of God, being built
up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ
Himself being the cornerstone. Eph. 2:19-20.
=20
Jesus was the first one who be born again. He is the
Firstbegotten among many brothers. Rom. 8:29. Before Jesus
was born again, nobody could be born again. When was Jesus
born again? When he rose from the death. His resurrection
was also his new birth.
=20
"He is the Head of the body, the Assembly, who is the
Beginning, the Firstborn out of the dead ones that He having
first place in all things." Col. 1:18. "... the First-begotten out
of the dead ones." Rev.1:5. "... the One designated the Son
of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the
resurrection of dead ones, Jesus Christ our Lord;" Rom. 1:4.
And again, when He brought the Firstbegotten into the world,
He said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him."
Hebr. 1:6.
=20
(This gives no support for the false doctrine that has been
spread out, that Jesus died spiritually. In 1 Peter 3:18 we can
read, "Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the
Just One on behalf of the unjust ones, that He might bring us
to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but being made
alive in the Spirit." On the cross Jesus finished his propitiatory
sacrifice. John 19:30. Already the same day he went to the
Paradise together with the criminal one. Luke 23:43.)
=20
How many members in the Pentecostal Movement are
baptized by the Holy Spirit? The answer is. None knows.
How many are baptized by the Holy Spirit in the Assembly
of God? The answer we have directly in 1 Cor. 12:13. In the
Assembly of God we are ALL baptized into one Spirit into
one body. This shows three things. The Pentecostal preachers
do not understand the truth of the baptism by the Holy Spirit,
and they neither understand the truth of the Assembly of God.
They do not understand that their own Pentecostal Churches
are religious black buildings.
