Actually...he killed himself.....read on......
It was me leaving a loaded 357 in a locked, three draw
filing cabinet. He was a drinker, and told me, in 1988,
never let him know where a gun was, around the time of
year, of his mothers death. Easter. He gets very depressed.
He coerced me into promising, under duress. I refused.
And he kept badgering me. I caved saying; "I've always
owned guns, don't blame me if I forget..."
A former co-worker came to the house asking me to 'hold'
his gun for him. He was afraid his wife was going to kill him.
So...I locked it in the cabinet. Mine was in my upstairs bed
room.
April 1991, I came home from work, and saw the barrel
of the gun on the floor. I went into the living/death room,
and saw he pried open the cabinet, which was on the left
hand side of the desk. Where I had a Radio Shack 64K
Computer.
I still have it. The cabinet and the computer. The State
police took the co-workers gun, and mine. I got mime
back. They destroyed the co-workers gun....
What was strange was, the co-worker, the family and
relatives of the deceased, from SC, and a very close friend
from CA, were there, all at once, the very next morning. As
if, waiting in the 'wings.'
The co-worker immediately asked for his gun back. I said
the State police took it. He left. And I never saw him again...
His mother was cremated. Why didn't he just keep her on
the mantel, rather than burial? In a shallow grave. He went
nuts getting a head stone. And making vists. With me. I didn't
like his mother, and I told him that years before her death. A
lot of his friends, who knew her, didn't care for her. But 'he'
was obsessed....
I live alone now, and have a cat. And keep my 9mm in that
same cabinet, unlocked, with the gun locked and loaded.
And now have a BIM (Built It Myself), computer.
I run everything for my passworded "Private Folder". Took a
while to set it up that way....
