Andrew come in out of the wilderness. This site has been inactive for
over a year.

Well, at least two people are still checking it from time to time.

And Anal makes three.

I'll certainly be posting here again when the season starts; if the
mental midgets are gone, this place could be habitable again.

Anal was never one of the people unable to form a coherent thought.
Unwilling, sometimes, but that's another thing entirely. I talk about
Alabama football all year; I'm not really enamored of the idea of
paying someone thirty, forty, fifty or sixty dollars a year to do so.
Nor do I care for the notion of being chased out of a forum wherein I
have been posting to and reading from friends for more than the last
10 years.

Speaking of Alabama football, a kid started at the company I work at
who used to be the kicker for the team. His name is Brian Bostick,
and he's a likable young man who does a good job.

How's life? Hope all is well. Not too much happening here - other
than getting ready to retire -just in time before the elections get
into full swing. Looking to forward to getting started on building a
place back in Bama. Just about had enough of the Left Side - time to
get back home.

Hopefully we'll see you guys once we get back home and start settling
in.

Reg

Reg,

good to hear from you. About this retirement thing... is Dez OK with
that? Won't you be more trouble than you're worth at that point? ;>)
Wait, maybe that's me.

It'll be nice to see you back in the state; we need to have a
get-together and drink a few beers.

I'm busy as a long-tailed cat. I won't be able to retire for another 15
years or so, with a 6th-grader in the house. Work keeps me busy, and
I'm doing a play, "Annie Get Your Gun", at the local community theatre.
I haven't done a musical in 12 years, although I still sing a lot of
places. Yesterday I did the American and Korean national anthems at a
taekwondo tournament, but then had to hurry home to spend the afternoon
with Jeanie and our daughters watching the new Harry Potter movie. Man,
kids either wear you out or keep you young - or both.

My grandchildren were 6 and 4 this month.

I was one of the 92000 at the A-Day game, and I'm looking forward to our
first season with Coach Saban. One of the things Mikey was pretty good
at was recruiting, and I'm hoping that we have a good start. I'd like
to see 8 wins - OK, I'd like to see 14 wins, but I'm expecting 8, hoping
for 9.

Looking forward to the season!

Glad to know everyone is doing well. Sixth grader in the house, that
sounds like a lot of fun. Dee turns 17 Monday, seems like she'll turn
40.....they grow up fast. She'll be a senior in the fall. Grandkids -
don't have any that we know about - at least Jr. has fessed up to
anything. Like my father says, "Grandkids are great. You play with them
and enjoy them, and just when they get on your nerves, you pick up the
phone and have them picked up."

We just did a thing with a Tae Kwondo team from Korea in our town.
Singing the Korean na, man that sounds like it must have been a tough
assignment. They also sent a few government officials to see how we do
things seeing how there were some similarities with regard to military
bases, local community, the changing political landscape.

Dez is OK with the move, though I think she'll probably wait until the
place is finished and Dee completes school. We had a place built two
years ago in a really nice rural area out here. Palm trees, avocado and
citrus groves constitute rural in this area; no street lights, no
sidewalks, no neighbor for a good distance on either side, and a
biological nature preserve surrounding us. Thankfully horses are not
allowed, but there is plenty of wildlife with coyotes, bobcats, snakes,
and all manner of rodents. Dez really taken to living in the woods and
says she's OK with the move to Bama as long as she gets the house she
wants.

I'm looking forward to the season and seeing how the team will do. I'm
not expecting anything quickly, just to be competitive with a strong
foundation in place to build upon, though I agree that 8 wins are doable.

Yep, I'm looking forward to hangin' 'em up. It's been a long time, I've
had fun, but I'm not into another long year of being on the road and all
that comes with it. I've got a few dates picked out, it's just a matter
of timing due to COLA, bonuses ,and a few changes in the law, but it's
just a matter of a few months.

We'll certainly have to get together and toss back a few cold ones - or
break out some good sipping whiskey.
