all the agnostics/atheists/Jews/muslims/Hindus/non Christians and drag their

reasonable for not believing JC was our saviour - don't forget the bloke got
himself nailed to a cross for us to prove what a jolly good chap he was.
Also, yesterday I was expecting the sky to open up and JC to come down on a
Golden horse and take all the true christians up to paradise as a reward for
believing in him. I kept looking out of my window and scanning the skies BUT
IT NEVER HAPPENED so I'm sure you can see why I'm a bit confused :-( Could
it be a question of - "the atheists were right all along!" ?????????????

666 is the number of a man,NOT a date.
Many scholars think 666 was Nero.

I think the real interpretation of the number was 616, not 666. And I
believe it had something to do with proverbs 6:16
As for the rapture, that is a crock. There was supposed to be some kind
fo a curse that happened, and if Elijah failed his job, the earth was to be
consumed. Check it out, I might be wrong here.

What *this* atheist learned from reading the bible is that Jesus and Paul
both believed in an imminent coming of 'The Kingdom of God'. Paul certainly
believed he would be 'taken up' while still alive. Well, Paul was wrong, as
was Jesus. And as far as the 'Rapture' or any of the hooey in the Book of
Revelation goes, I think the best line you can examine in that book of
'prophecy' is line *one.
'The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which *God* gave unto him, to shew unto his
servants things which must *shortly* come to pass ...'
The Greek word translated into 'shortly' implies an almost immediate action.
Its now some two thousand years later. Why not give up the 'ghost' on that
book of drivel? The NT is just *chock-full* of the preposterous and the
absurd. Grow up.
