This is being posted to a number of groups in which there have been recent
discussions of Immanuel Velikovsky and/or one or more versions of a
Saturn-based solar system theory such as you read about on:
[rest snipped]
Why Velikovsky is taken even remotely seriously by anyone
is far beyond my capacity to answer. True, a Mars-sized
proto-chunk did slam into Earth early on in our formation;
the resultant ejecta went every whichaway, although a
large portion thereof eventually coalesced into Luna.
That's about as close as we can get to Velikovsky's
rather interesting but ultimately ridiculous hypotheses.

Windows. The choice of a bunch of people who like very weird behavior on
a regular basis, random crashes, and "extend, embrace, and extinguish".
