Regardless of whether or not you believe in the "supernatural" parts of
the Gospels, the man Jesus of Nazareth did exist. Both Josephus and
Tacitus wrote of the execution of Jesus.

My claim is this, and it doesn't need any back up. I no novels and fictions
because the writers tell us they are novels and fictions. I know cthulhu is
not real because H.P. Lovecraft said he wasn't real.
Peter, Paul and John say Jesus was real. I have no contrary evidence to this
so far. Therefore I tend to believe them more than I believe, let us say,
you. Or "religion is a lie." (Since his name seems to give his agenda

I went to a Scientology "personality test" center in 1972. The test was
spurious. They asked me to go rob a bank in order to get money to pay for
the course. That gave me a hint it might not be a real religion. I then read
Dianetics. It was crap, and I could tell where he picked up most of his
stuff from. Which means it was lifted from other sources. Then I read up on
L. Ron Hubbard. I found out he was a millionaire *****-wad with a fake
religion to peddle, living on a yacht so the taxmen wouldn't grab him. Then
I interviewed an older lady from California who lived near him as a young
lady. She told me he told her he was going to invent a religion someday that
would make him rich. So I had all the evidence I needed to finally decide
that Dianetics was not "real." But I did the leg-work, the research, the
interviews. That my friend, is scholarship. Just because a scholar looks at
a book as truth until he can find evidence to the contrary, still does not
mean he accepts this truth whole heartedly and abandons all rationality and
reason.
In a court case evidence is presented. "Here is the gun the defendant used
to shoot a man..." O.K., do you have fingerprints, ballistics matches, do
you have a witness who can verify this was the exact gun used in the
robbery, how about a video tape? Just because something is presented as
evidence does not mean it really is evidence. Ever hear of a "throw-down"
gun? Ever hear of planting evidence, like the case of the Piltdown Man? Even
experts can be fooled. But you my friend are no expert in anything but
looking for slip ups you can make a fake case with. Simply because I slipped
and put in 'no' for know, suddenly I am accused of having lied about my IQ?
Well, where is the evidence that you even have an IQ, since you can't spell
Dianetics? You see, two can play at this game.

As I said. I think you have some issues. What Bush did was unconscionable to
be sure. But he is not any more a Christian than Sadaam is a Muslim. Just
because some insane people say God wants them to do something bad is no
reason to punish everyone who believes in God.
Sadaam killed enough people in and out of their beds to deserve whatever he
gets. Now he is a nobody. A prisoner of war. And though I am against the
war. I am also glad he has been shown up to be a fool, a coward, a liar and
will get exactly the sort of justice he's been asking for.
Meanwhile, Fred, you should seek some help. Because if you keep flipping out
like this on-line, someone is going to come and take you away. There are no
"Christanic cults" out to get you.

I couldn't get to L. Ron...he was out on a yacht in the Atlantic, and the
