Hogwash! We were deploying and preparing to go to war before the UN
ever woke up. It seems that the fact that the UN actually got on
board and followed along, then tried to claim credit after the fact,
is now being used as argument in a way that would have prevented the
original Gulf War and left Saddam fully armed and in Kuwait.

The U.S. and U.K and Germany and France and... Russia.. and etc.
have been at war with the entire Gulf region for _many_ decades,
attempting to gain control over the regions gas and oil.
The resources that they _MUST_ have in order to maintain their
ever expanding empires.
Japan does not own one drop of oil, yet have
the worlds second largest economy!
The price of energy is now measured in human lives per day.
