In fact, you let OTHERS decide that for you.
At 8 days old, yes. And when I achieved the age of choice,
What age is "the age of choice?"
The generally accepted age of willful choice of the RCC is around
16-17.
In general though, it's when you are capable of intelligent learned
decision.
So no one knows, do they?
Who decided what was the age of choice?
Was there a vote on it?
How big was the margin of winning?
I decide.
I knew it to be the
right thing.
You knew WHAT to be the right thing?
Accepting my Christian baptism.
There is no Biblical command to "accept your Christian baptism, no
example of it ever happening, no instruction on HOW to "accept your
Christian baptism." This seems to be another man-made "tradition"
BTW, where is that phrase "age of willful choice" in the Bible, I seem
to have missed it.
Hmm. Psychology and statistics tell us that a man is typically not
mentally
mature and stable until age 25.
Most of the men I've met will probably never make it ;-)
I knew I would get at least one response from a gal. Too bad can't disagree
with you.
Men don't understand women, women don't understand men. Both believe
that they are the more understandable sex. I suppose it makes life
more interesting!
I like to start the day with a few good generalizations...the broader
the brush, the better.
The differences between male psychology and female psychology are
pretty concrete - hence the popularity of books like Men Are From
Mars. It may be pop psychology but that doesn't make it wrong.
There are exceptions to every rule of course...

Those "differences" are not as "concrete" across the board as you
think. That is like attempting to give a percentage of the population
as gay or straight. It is NOT as concrete as we would claim. From
what I have learned, the imale/female psychology breaks at around
80/20. In other words, around 20% of males actually DO understand the
"female psychology" because their brain works the same way. They
don't have to be gay either...that little generalization has never
been correct...sensitive male=gay. Nope.
However, most males (more or less 80% have a problem understanding the
majority, 80% of females. Most women do not enjoy the hunting/fishing
"lifestyle." However, my nephew married a girl who quickly let me
know that she has no problem "shooting Bambi." In fact, when she was
8-months pregnant, she was in the deer-blind with her husband, looking
for Bambi and his friends! In MANY ways, she is like that 20%
minority of females who are more left-brain than most.
Know what I mean???
