It was Jonathan, the son of King Saul, who once remarked that "it may
be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the
LORD to save by many or by few. (1 Samuel 14:6) Jonathan and his
armor bearer then took a walk -- right into an enemy camp, and were
used of God to set in motion a series of events that won a great
victory for their people, Israel.
History proves that God is not hindered by the number of those who will
speak and act for Him. A few people, even one or two, are able to
accomplish much, changing the course of history. It only takes one to
be a light, drawing many to the power of God in Jesus Christ.
William Booth is one man who was not afraid to make a difference. He
and his wife, Catherine, were mightily used of God to share Christ and
the hope of eternal life with many who would not otherwise have been
reached.
'William Booth started out from Nottingham largely self-educated,
penniless, and practically friendless. He had one fixed idea. The whole
of his effort and talent would be directed to the one purpose - saving
the world. Like his predecessor Wesley, he took the whole world as his
parish. So well did he succeed, that before he died, his name was known
in practically every country of that parish, and his followers numbered
in millions. He began with nothing, had no money, no powerful friends,
only his golden voice, his passion, and this vision of man reconciled
to God.' -Nottingham Journal
To Save the World
The evangelist halted outside The Blind Beggar Tavern up the Mile End
Road, East London. He was a tall figure in a frock coat and
wide-brimmed hat and his piercing grey eyes looked out from a pale
face. Drawing a book from beneath his arm, he gave out the verse of a
hymn and faces pressed against the pub's glass windows. 'There is a
heaven in East London for everyone,' he cried, 'for everyone who will
stop and think and look to Christ as a personal Saviour.'
William BoothFrom the pub came a volley of jeers and oaths, followed by
a rotten egg. The preacher paused, egg running down his cheek, prayed,
and turned west towards Hammersmith and his lodgings. He made his way
through savage fighting men, ragged match-sellers, orange-women, and
Irish flower girls clad only in soiled petticoats with their bare feet
covered in dirt; children with wolfish faces gobbling up decaying food
left by the street market, or swaying blind drunk in tap-room doorways.
He strode past crowded tenements and stinking alleys where life was a
just a struggle; and the dark alleys near the docks where the sick and
dying lay side by side on bare boards of fireless rooms under tattered
scraps of blanket.
'A large muckheap what the rich grows their mushrooms on,' was how one
pauper described East London. After thirteen years as a Methodist
Circuit Minister, the preacher was no stranger to it. But as he walked
home a conviction grew within him. Towards midnight when he arrived at
his lodgings, he found his six children in bed. His wife, Catherine
Booth, who worried over their precarious financial position, waited in
the living room. Excitedly he burst out: 'Darling, I've found my
destiny!' Convinced that the churches had failed the people, William
Booth would set out to save the world. The year was 1865.

Ah, another dishonest theist liar I see.

THE BIBLE, CHRISTIANS, AND MIRACLES
- AN ATHEIST MANIFESTO
*********************************************
Miracles. The bible promises we can work big
miracles. One either can or one cannot. No one
can.
Why?
1. Either the bible is untrue and the writers who
put these promises in the mouth of Jesus were
liars and idle tellers of tall tales, and
pious frauds.
or...
2. These promises are true and only real
Christians can work great miracles as promised
and those who can work no miracles are not
real Christians. Faux Christians at best.
True Christians are obviously extremely rare
at best
But if #2, then we should ignore all those who
cannot do miracles because they are obviously not
real Christians and can at best mislead us and
at best make us as one of them, false Christians,
probably damned if Matthew 7 is true. They can at
best teach us to become pseudo-Christians unable
to work miracles as they who cannot themselves
work miracles. They have nothing to teach us.
We then should as the only intelligent thing to
do, pay attention only to real Christians, those
who can as per Jesus's words, work great and
obvious miracles. Therefore, It is logical to pay
no attention to any self proclaimed Christian who
cannot work large, obvious miracles.
If no such Great miracle working Christians
exist, its most likely that #1 is true, the bible
lies, anonymous fools wrote stupid falsehoods.
So from now on, Christians, if you can't work the
promised big miracles, shut up. You have no right
to speak. You are not really a Christian. If you
cannot work the great miracles as promised, and
cannot point to those who demonstrably can now,
nothing you say is of value.
THE BIG MIRACLE PROMISES OF THE BIBLE
THE WORDS OF JESUS.

John 14:12-14
12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he
do also; and greater works than these shall
he do; because I go unto my Father.
13: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified
in the Son
14: If ye shall ask any thing in my name,
I will do it.
Mark 11:23-4
For verily I say this unto you, That
whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast
into the sea; and shall not doubt
in his heart, but shall believe that
those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever
he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What
things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe ye receive them and ye shall have
them.
Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask
in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Matthew 18:19-20
Again I say unto you, that if two of you
shall agree on earth as touching anything
that they shall ask, it shall be done for
them of my father which is in heaven. For
where two or three are gathered in my name,
there I am in the midst of them.

Sorry if this post (being cross-posted by others before me) gets into
places where it really upsets anyone's digestion. The thing to
understand is that there are all kinds of people in the world, and not
every thinks as you do about the things they see and hear and
experience in life. If you make a habit of being offended by folks who
are different, you will often have hurt feelings.
My sincere advice is to simply hang tough. Keep gathering information
about the world, about human nature, about the universe. Chase after
the truth, no matter where it leads. Don't allow other people
(including peers) to mold you into their images of "smart and cool."
As a wise rabbit once said, "He who poops in his own food is doomed
to either eat poop or starve." (And no, that wasn't Bugs Bunny.)
You will find what you seek if you seek after truth with all your
heart. Never be afraid to take your stand with the truth.
But to those who are compelled to haunt Christian groups, only to make
fun of us...
What can I say?
I tell you this much, I just have to laugh at some of the silly stuff I
see posted on these groups by those who hate the truth of God. And
some of the silly attempts to harass (or whatever it is they think they
are doing) by those who play with headings and such... do they
actually think such antics can alter, hinder or change anything at all?
Nothing imagined, attempted or accomplished by human beings can ever
change the reality of God and Christ. Nothing we do can keep anyone
else from knowing God or understanding the truth. All we can ever hope
to do, in our attempts to oppose reality, is to waste our own time,
using up our lives in vain (empty), and thereby missing out on the best
life and God has to offer.
Oh, well. I was once a kid myself, and I did all kinds of silly
things, as well. I did a lot of self-destructive things, just as some
of you do. But God was merciful to me. In spite of all that I am by
nature, God saw fit to rescue and keep me by His grace, through faith
in Jesus Christ.
Anyway, some of you guys remind me of a story...
The Dog Who Thought He was a Chicken
Once upon a time a dog lived in the hills of Kentucky who thought he
was a chicken.
At night, instead of finding a nice spot to curl up and sleep, he would
do his best to sit on a tree branch, hanging onto it with his hind
feet. Needless to say, he fell out of the tree quite often. But he
finally got the hang of it, so to speak.
He would wake up early in the morning and do his best to crow loudly.
Of course, the sound that came out sounded very little like a crowing.
But he did the best he could. He even tried laying an egg once or
twice, but only succeeded in making a bad smell.
I think that the worst of it must have been eating. To see a dog
trying to peck at the ground, picking up bits of gravel and stone and
bugs and tender shoots was painful for everyone. And overall the dog
did not seem to do well on a diet of grains and grass and bugs.
But he was convinced that he was a chicken, so he kept at it.
I know, the story sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? I mean, how could a
dog really think he was a chicken? And how could he (WHY would he) go
from day to day, trying his best to live, think, and act like a
chicken? He would have to be crazy or very, very stupid.
In the same way, we may wonder at people who try their best to act and
think and live as though there is no God. They scream at anyone who
tries to talk sense to them. And they spend a lot of time trying to
convince themselves that life has no purpose or meaning at all, and
that there is no existence beyond the grave. Well, some do think they
will live on in some fashion, borrowing ideas from some of the very
teachings they reject. But they reject all that God has revealed to
humankind about Himself and about human existence.
Like the dog who struggles to stay in a tree all night, they struggle
to live up to their own silly notions of godless life. And like the
dog who tries to lay an egg, they only produce a stink when they
express their very best and most clever arguments, trickery, and
gimmicks.
The truth is reality expressed. Whoever denies God will continue to go
from delusion to delusion, because they refuse to accept the reality
and truth that is staring them in the face.
The Bible says that those who refuse to accept and love the truth are
doomed to greater and greater delusions, until, at last they actually
help to destroy their own lives, and any hope for eternal life. And we
can see that happening all around us these days, as in all the
generations before us.
Even so, Jesus Christ is Lord. He lives and reigns and will return one
day to correct the huge mess that human beings continue to make of this
world. Those who love the truth will be ready to see Him face to face.
And those who reject reality will face their own doom.
That's a fact of life.
You don't have to take my word for it. Read all about these things in
the Bible. The whole Bible talks about these things, but the greatest
concentration of revealed truth, when it comes to the human need for
spiritual life and rescuing, is found in the New Testament portion of
the Holy Bible. That's the "good news" section that talks most
specifically about Jesus Christ and what He has done for all people --
especially for those who believe in Him.
God's best to everyone this day. God's richest blessing upon all who
seek and love the truth. May you find all that you are looking for in
God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Do you think it's clever to write something about God and then follow

children?
You write an article designed to entrap the Christian reader and then
bombard them with disgusting images about messing yourself or exposing

prostitute, the Devil's appointed *****; ***** eaten
by scab and leprosy who ought to be trodden under foot
and destroyed, she and her wisdom ... Throw dung in her
face to make her ugly. She is and she ought to be
drowned in baptism... She would deserve, the wretch, to
be banished to the filthiest place in the house, to the
closets."
- Martin Luther, Erlangen Edition v. 16, pp. 142-148

| Title: SICK JIM (was how many Christians does it take to turn on the light?) |

Do you think it's clever to write something about God and then follow
it up by writing about taking pictures of your thing and showing it to
children?
You write an article designed to entrap the Christian reader and then
bombard them with disgusting images about messing yourself or exposing
yourself. You should be ashamed.
You are a very sick man, Jim (if that's your real name).

Thank you for your response - would you like to meet up and lick each
other sometime? I don't often get the chance to meet the gullible, so
any time you can spend with me would be appreciated and rewarded with a
big juicy *****!
