there has been much talk amongst

abortionists (pro choicers) being
atheist.
there is a very good reason for
that. to be an atheist you must
accept that
1. that the earth and everything in
it just exploded from nothing.
Actually the earth and everything in
it just coalesced from the debris of
the Big Bang and a lot of post-Big
Bang explosions that were rather large.
2. that man is a bunch of chemicals
that evolved from this explosion from
nothing
We're a bunch of chemicals, no one can
deny that.
As for evolution and abiogenesis, thats two
different theories there. Human beings are
human beings thanks to evolution, no doubt
about that. Even Old Earth Creationists
allow for evolution.
3. that there is no creator. after all,
if there's a creator they must answer
for their actions.
Why must a Creator automagically also be
the Bible God? (or any other religion's
Deity)
Also, the Creator is a much bigger leap of
imagination than the Big Bang. We can see
the universe expanding. We cannot see a
Creator. There is no evidence for a
Creator. From the standpoint of observing
reality, instead of "just making it all
up as you go along", a Creator explains
*nothing* other than the emotional mindset
of the person stating the belief.
Also, folks who say "a Creator created
everything" have yet to provide the
origin of the Creator. This stymies
them from producing anything the
scientific community will accept as a
"scientific theory", because they seem
to assume that *failing to explain*
the biggest part of their theory isn't
*necessary*.
this is why murder, homosexuality,
adultery, wife beating etc are all
accepted by atheist.
I'll accept the homosexuality since
two people loving each other is a
good thing.
Adultery is a gray area but it often
boils down to the same thing, and
even you have to agree that your
Bible Jeezuz didn't feel that
adultery deserved a punishment.
But murder and wife-beating? Sorry,
most violent criminals are theists,
not atheists.
no creator means there's no
one to answer to.
No, no creator means there's no
creator. Whether or not there
is someone to "answer to" is a
completely different question.
And as for the "someone to answer to",
I've got one for you: all the OTHER
human beings.
Just seeing the above, it makes sense
that many abortion supporters would
be atheist.
Folks who support abortion rights
support science.
Folks who are opposed to abortion are
completely against modern science and
prefer to make stuff up even if it
flies in the face of observed data.
Hmmm. I guess you're right. Only cavemen
frightened of "Big Man In Sky Thunderbolts"
would be anti-abortion. People whose brains
are big enough to understand concepts like
math and biology are the only people who
would be pro-choice.
but what about the others? how, since
Christianity and every other faith is
against abortion can they still believe?
The Bible is not opposed to abortion.
Christianity in general is not opposed to
abortion. Even the Catholic Church has a
checkered history on its stance both for
and against abortion.
As for "every other faith", your presumption
is meaningless and more importantly incorrect.
well, like homosexuals, abortionists
(pro choicers) create for themselves
a mr-potato-head-god.
they don't like his eyes, so they change
them.
And God looked upon the genocide of many
cultures, the mindless slaughter of men,
women, pregnant women, and children,
because they had stuff he wanted to give
to the Hebrews, and he saw that it was
Good. The Book of Joshua, 1:1-9,18;
6:21-27; 8:22-25;
10:10-27,28,30,32-33,34-35,36-37,38-39,40.
Many people don't like the eyes of tyrants
who slaughter millions of people and then
take their belongings for himself and his
followers.
don't like the way he hears,
so they give him new ones
Psalm 22:1-2 - God's Ears refuse to hear
the prayers of the faithful.
Psalm 10:1 - God's Ears refuse to hear
the prayers of the faithful.
And after all, the Bible God has no
interest in hearing anything WOMEN
have to say.
1 Corinthians 14:34-35
Sounds like a set of ears that *need*
to be changed.
don't like what he says, so
they change his mouth.
Most Christians hear the "camel through
the eye of a needle" story and assume it
must not be meant for THEM.
You're probably one of them. After all,
you own a computer.
Also, some interesting comments by
Christians, showing that Christians
purported to have been good equally
"change the mouth of God if they don't
like what the Bible God says":
Exodus 20:8-11 - Do no work on the
Sabbath Day, neither any member
of your household.
Exodus 31:15 - Anyone who works on
the Sabbath Day shall be put to
death.
And now, a word from *the* Paul:
Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore
judge you in meat, or in drink, or
in respect of an holyday, or of the
new moon, or of the *sabbath days*:"
And to think that suspended Alabama Judge
Roy Moore is being suspended for *defending*
the public display on government property
of the Ten Commandments, when one of them
is *optional*!
Mark 10:2-12 - Divorce is a sin and
to remarry after divorce is to
commit adultery.
Exactly how many factions of Christianity
*prohibit* divorce? I know Catholicism
does, but the factions which *permit*
divorce (i.e., permit opposition to the
Bible God) are far more numerous.
finally they have their own god--created
by them for their own worship. yes, with
his new face that they themselves have
created.
ALL theists create their own Deity to worship.
Women have to subtly alter the Bible God if
they want to remain Christians. Most
Bible-thumpers decide that most of the Old
Testament still applies, even though most
of them will claim that Jeezuz invalidated
most of the Old Testament laws (i.e., "pick
and choose Christianity").
Ask any ten Christians (under condition of
*absolute anonymity*) what their Deity is
like, and you'll get ten different opinions.
This is because not everyone likes a literal
interpretation of the Bible, so they pick
and choose the bits they like, and ignore
the rest.
If you ask a Catholic, a Lutheran, a Jehovah's
Witness, and a Unitarian what their concept
of their Deity is, you will get four different
opinions, and each one (with the possible
exception of the Unitarian) will declare that
the other three are "picking and choosing"
which Christian precepts to follow and which
to ignore, while they themselves claim to NOT
be "picking and choosing" which Christian
precepts to follow and which to ignore.
While abortion is never mentioned anywhere
in the Bible, and fetuses are declared by
Exodus 21:22-25 to be no more than the
*property* of the husband of the pregnant
woman (and certainly not the same as
*persons*), it is ironic that due to
Leviticus 12:1-8 requiring purification
rites following *childbirth*, this makes
*childbirth* into a *sin*.
"professing themselves to be wise, they
became fools and changed the Glory of
the uncorruptible God into an image"(1 Cor)
Considering all the changes which occurred
from Old Testament to New Testament, then all
the changes which occur in the New Testament
from Gospels to Paul, it becomes apparent that
*all* Christians must be fools according to
the definition of 1 Corinthians, especially
*Paul*.
Matthew 5:17-19 "Think not that I am come
to destroy the law, or the prophets: I
am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you,
*Till heaven and earth pass,*
*one jot or one tittle shall*
*in no wise pass from the law,* till all
be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall
break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so, he shall be
called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the
same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven."
Did Heaven and Earth pass yet? No? Hmmm.
The law must not have been abolished yet,
according to Matthew 5:17-19.
Ephesians 2:13-15 - Paul Says Jesus
abolished the law.
Hebrews 7:18-19 - The writer of Hebrews says
Jesus abolished the law.
Genesis 17:7,10-11 - Circumcision is a
permanent part of the Law.
Gospels - Jesus does not abolish this law,
and states that not one jot or tittle
(save his specific examples, of course)
shall pass from the law until heaven and
earth pass.
Galatians 6:15 - Paul abolishes circumcision.
So in other words, the Bible teaches
that picking and choosing the parts of
the Bible you like and ignoring the rest
is *What Good Christians Do*.
While at the same time condemning it.
It's all rather confusing really.
"by this they are willingly ignorant" (2 peter)
Exodus 7 - "The Lord" refuses to allow Pharaoh
to let the Hebrews go, and forces Pharaoh to
hold onto the Hebrews on at least three
different occasions. Then "The Lord"
punishes the Egyptians for "The Lord"
hardening the heart of the Pharaoh.
Matthew 11:25-26 - Jesus deliberately
hides his Message from some people so
that they can be condemned.
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 - God deliberately
deludes some people so that God can condemn
them.
"God is not a man. He will not lie"
(numb 23:19)
Genesis 2:17 - God tells Adam that if Adam
eats of the forbidden fruit, Adam will *die*
on the *same day* that Adam eats the forbidden
fruit.
Genesis 3 - Adam eats of the forbidden fruit.
Genesis 5:5 - Adam lives for 930 years.
Oops.
