How will Fred Stone spin these polls?
http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=255
Two-in-three Americans (67%) believe he could have done more to speed
up relief efforts, while just 28% think he did all he could to get
them going quickly. At the same time, Bush's overall job approval
rating has slipped to 40% and his disapproval rating has climbed to
52%, among the highest for his presidency. Uncharacteristically, the
president's ratings have slipped most among his core constituents -
Republicans and conservatives.

Pherd's response will be:
"They just asked the wrong people."
"The liberal media is to blame for poisoning the country against our
President at a time of crisis."
"No, that's just wrong. More mindless liberal crap."
And when Pherd is done for the day, and he's still got the warm
fuzzies from spooging all over Usenet about his Lord and Savior, he
will recite the following:
"Our Bush, who art on vacation, Halliburton bring me fame.
My kingdom come, my ill be done,
On Earth -- what country is that in again?
Give us this day our next tax break,
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive you who doth debt and spend against us.
And lead us verily into recession,
But deliver us from middle-class prosperity.
For thine is the deficit, and the war on terror, and the state of the
union,
Forever -- right after we repeal the 22nd Amendment!
Praise Bush! Praise Bush! Praise Bush!"
OR --
I can also see Pherd plopping in a CD of a certain Sondheim musical,
and listening to the very first song, imagining his hero inspecting
downtown New Orleans, while Bernadette Peters sings what is assuredly
echoing through Bush's cranial cavity:
"Well there are worse things than staring at the water on a Sunday..."
(from "Sunday in the Park with George")

None of the above.
But I do enjoy seeing the lengths you'll go to in demonizing me for
disagreeing with your gospel of hate to the Bushies.
