Regulators OK Heart Medicine for Blacks |
This is a great day for Negroes everywhere. Finally, government has put
a liberal mantra aside and recognized that all people are not created
equal; there are some differences. Colored people will finally benefit
from advances in the medical field and live longer, more productive
lives. That is the greatest civil right a government can bestow upon
the people.

Regulators OK Heart Medicine for Blacks
Regulators Thursday approved the heart drug BiDil, the first medication
intended for a single race.
The Food and Drug Administration said its endorsement of the medicine
for African Americans with heart failure was a step toward personalized
medicine. The action came one week after an FDA advisory panel voted in
favor of the pill after an intense debate about using race as the basis
for treatment.
Critics contended that there was no biological basis for race and that
approval of a "blacks only" drug could set a dangerous precedent. But
supporters, including the NAACP and members of the Congressional Black
Caucus, maintained that BiDil helped African Americans despite showing
no real advantages for whites

all, we are more at risk... I'm not holding my breath.
I'm in favor of nationalizing healthcare in the US, I see no reason
why certain groups should get a free ride. We'll all suffer from
something before we die.

I'm a Brit watching from the touch line, but by this argument I have to
ask, if the cure had been discovered but kept quiet for the above reasons
and then got out later. Then what?
