Richard Dawkins on NPR |
Dawkins was on NPR's "Science Friday" today, flogging the
new book. Other than the use of the term "faithheads"
once early on, he was urbanely non-combative. Q&A
with listeners calling-in followed. You can
hear it again at:

I heard most of that. I might even buy the book now. I wonder how many
other listeners knew what he was referring to when he mentioned the Flying
Spaghetti Monster? :)

You know, I might too. Although I'm no more a believer than
Dawkins, and though I always read his column in "Free Inquiry",
I do find myself more than a bit put off by his the fervor or his
anti-theism, and by his apparent view of religion as an unalloyed evil.
But now I might get the book after all.
I wonder how many

Spaghetti Monster? :)
I had exactly the same thought at the time.
