Rush quits ESPN |
"Limbaugh resigns from NFL show
ESPN.com news services
In the wake of his controversial statements regarding Eagles
quarterback Donovan McNabb, Rush Limbaugh has resigned from his
position on ESPN's NFL pregame show. ESPN has accepted the
resignation.
Limbaugh issued a statement late Wednesday night in which he wrote:
'My comments this past Sunday were directed at the media and were not
racially motivated. I offered an opinion. This opinion has caused
discomfort to the crew, which I regret.
'I love NFL Sunday Countdown and do not want to be a distraction to
the great work done by all who work on it.
'Therefore, I have decided to resign. I appreciate the opportunity to
be a part of the show and wish all the best to those who make it
happen.'
Response from George Bodenheimer, President, ESPN and ABC Sports:
'We accept his resignation and regret the circumstances surrounding
this. We believe that he took the appropriate action to resolve this
matter expeditiously.'"

Fat Ugly Racist Clown Kicked Over the Goalpost
I'd just like to say that I resent the use of the word "fat" being used as a
derogatory term. We fat people have feelings too you know.
This is pure fat'ism.

Yeah well, perhaps the conservative media who hired limbaugh were
desirous of a fat person like Rush succeeding in sports broadcasting
:). Personally, I've always thought Rush was way over-rated. He
trades on his blubber to garner sympathy from others. He certainly
shouldn't be QBing...erm I mean running...his own radio show.

Even if he hadn't made the racist comments, he still should have been fired
for saying something as stupid as that Donovan McNabb isn't a good QB.

Sometimes God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel
better about himself. He is a very vengeful God. He's all *****
about something we did thousands of years ago. He just can't get over
it, so he doesn't care who he takes. Children, puppies, it don't matter
to him, so long as it makes us sad...God gives us life and love and
help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can
drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears that give
God his great power.

Millions of Iraqis were mad at Saddam Hussein. By extrapolation
Arizona Poll: 66% want to see Bush defeated.
Baghdad Poll: 64% are glad Saddam is gone.
Apparently, Bush is less popular in Arizona than Saddam is in
Baghdad.

He had dropped of the radar. So people had forgotten just what a bad
case of foot-in-mouth disease he really has.
What amuses me is how terrible he is beyond the range of the
Dittoheads. Confront him, in anyway, and he can't handle it. He goes
to pieces. It's like a cult, in many ways.

I remember Tom Leykis used to brag about how he bested Rush in a debate
some 10 years or more back when Leykis worked for KFI (KFI was syndicating
Rush at the time and therefore were able to get him...Leykis was their
local afternoon-drive superstar at the time too, and fans kept wondering
who would win in a debate).

He has successfully avoided confrontation where he didn't have utter
control of the mike ever since his disasterous stint as a guest-host
on some tv talk show back around 1993 or so.
