Sadly. If you follow the link at the bottom, you'll see that this is almost
precisely what happened to parents in South Middlesbrough. Their two local
secondary schools were closed and replaced by one run by the Vardy Foundation.
The Vardy Foundation is run by Sir Peter Vardy, a member of the Christian
Institute and and commited fundamentalist christian. The institute's first
school, Emannuel College, Gateshead, is a City Technology College which openly
teaches creationism alongside standard biological evolution.
A BBC interviewer interviewed two of the pupils at the school:
"God created the world and everything in it." "It is about 6000 years old" [Kate
and Simon, pupils of Emmanuel School, Gateshead, interviewed by Mike Thomson,
BBC]
The former head of science at the school, Steven Layfield, openly advocates
using any underhand means available to squeaze young earth creationism into the
curriculum:
http://www.angelfire.com/nb/lt/docs/called13.htm
The new King's Academy in South Middlesbrough, is almost exactly the same as in
the "Satanist" parody. The Vardy Foundation provides 20% of the total initial
cost of the school. The remainder comes from the taxpayer, as do all of the
running cost. In return, the foundation controls 5 out of the 7 governing posts
on the school and effectively takes 100% control. As the only local secondary
school, and as it is generously funded, locals now have to pretend to be good
little christians if they want to stay at the school. Pupils must carry a bible
at all times.

Excellent. And Lancashire is the stomping ground of the Revd. Kevin
Logan, whose had at least one satanic rescuee commit suicide while in
his, erm, expert, care. And then there was the matter of buying the
satanic regalia for several tens of thousands of pounds...

Yes - but it's a parody based frightningly close to the truth. Check out the

Looks like it's just a parody. In Internet searches I could find no mention
of St Beelzebub's City Academy, the Hades Foundation, or of it's supposed
CEO Lucifer Burnalot. Nor is there any mention of this event on the Church
of Satan's website.
To my knowledge, the Church of Satan has never made any push to set up a
school. According to religioustolerance.org, "There are probably fewer than
10,000 religious Satanists in North America." I don't know what the numbers
would be like for Britain, but it raises the question of whether there would
even actually be enough Satanist families gathered in any one place to
warrant the creation of a school.

I think a fair clue is the anglefire web address. Tony may have spent
a lot of money on Iraq, but I think he can just about still afford a
dedicated website for No 10.
Mind you, that said, if you check out the UK electorial register,
you'll find a Mr Lucifer Satan resident in central London...

Actually, there are even more clues than that, but I just wanted to stick
with the facts.
Like there's the HTML screw up at the top of the page, and you might notice
the names used: "Burnley, Lancashire", "Lucifer Burnalot" "Nick
Forkpiercer". Seems pretty obvious just from reading it.

Not always conclusive, e.g.:
Daily Service
BBC Radio 4 LW (198 LW)
Wednesday 17 September
Presenter Tony Burnham

Secretary,
Charles

funded
Satanist
school in Burnley, Lancashire.

Wicked!
Looks like it's just a parody. In Internet searches I could find
no mention of St Beelzebub's City Academy, the Hades Foundation,
or of it's supposed CEO Lucifer Burnalot. Nor is there any
mention of this event on the Church of Satan's website.
To my knowledge, the Church of Satan has never made any push to
set up a school. According to religioustolerance.org, "There are
probably fewer than 10,000 religious Satanists in North America."
I don't know what the numbers would be like for Britain, but it
raises the question of whether there would even actually be enough
Satanist families gathered in any one place to warrant the
creation of a school.
I think a fair clue is the anglefire web address. Tony may have
spent a lot of money on Iraq, but I think he can just about still
afford a dedicated website for No 10.
Mind you, that said, if you check out the UK electorial register,
you'll find a Mr Lucifer Satan resident in central London...
"Therion, is that you?"
Alas no. Though I do own the "satan.me. uk" domain for some reason.
Probably world domination, or similar, but I've been very busy
lately.
You'll need to check these people out, then:

"*DISCLAIMER: Although laser blasts travel at the speed of light, we
have noticed that heroes have the unnerving ability to "dodge" laser
blasts. This defies the laws of physics, and we cannot explain it.
Villains and henchpersons do not have this ability, unless they are
martial artists."
