Shouldn't these children at least be exposed to different 'truths'?
Afterall, everyone thinks their way is right.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. - The school board in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has repealed
a policy allowing alternatives to evolution to be discussed in public school
science classes.
The board's 3-2 vote reverses a 2005 board decision to adopt the policy.
The earlier board vote also was 3-2. Only two board members who supported
the policy are still on the board, and they voted against rescinding it. One
of them is a local pastor.
Opponents said the policy was a tactic to teach intelligent design, which
maintains that life and the universe are too complex to have evolved by
accident.

You don't want them exposed to truths. You want them exposed to your pet

Creationism is fraudulent religion and is not science at all. Basically
it's bad religion (heresy) seeking to propagate itself through politics. A
bad mixture that usually ends violently (ask old Ollie Cromwell).

School board rescinds policy allowing evolution alternatives

Monkeys will be monkeys.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. - The school board in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has
repealed a policy allowing alternatives to evolution to be discussed in
public school science classes.

Can't make that commie cash as easy when evolution is dismissed.

The board's 3-2 vote reverses a 2005 board decision to adopt the policy.

What?
You mean a band of apes were upset that people were being taught better than
evolution?
Is our government too wimpy to defeat these beasts?

The earlier board vote also was 3-2. Only two board members who supported
the policy are still on the board, and they voted against rescinding it.
One of them is a local pastor.

Opponents said the policy was a tactic to teach intelligent design, which
maintains that life and the universe are too complex to have evolved by
accident.

I prefered learning reading, writing and arithmetic in school.
Educating children properly enables them to detect the inadequacies in areas
where fantasy is all that is used to make a dollar.

When I went to compose this short observation, I noticed that five
other newsgroups appeared in the address box. If I had not deleted
them, would they have been cross-posted to the other groups without my
being a member of any of them? I'm still a newbie, so be patient with
my learning curve.
Anyhow, what I was going to say........
Out of morbid curiousity, I went back to read some dozens of Wentzky's
earlier posts, and, increasingly, though I earlier gave him credit for
some degree of intelligence (only because he could compose a proper
sentence), I find he is increasingly incoherent, rambling, and more
nonsensical than I thought possible, even for him. It certainly can't
have escaped everyone's notice here that his only response to logic,
to facts, and to the hard evidence of scientific inquiry, that his
responses always reduce to (in spite of frantic verbal spewing), hand-
waving dismissal. Like that means anything. I know he provides rainy
Sunday afternoon entertainment for some, but hasn't that gotten old?
Does anyone, anywhere, know when this delusional sad sack actually is
scheduled in court? And once there, can help be provided for him?
Or, by our legal standards, is he prefectly competent to stand trial?
I sorta feel sorry for the poor bugger, especially since nothing he
ever says is likely to influence anyone.

If they're asserting that humans were descended from apes why do you

If they want to be labeled as such persons while the rest of the

The same place they are now?

In zoos?
In the jungle?

In the White House, among other places. And looks at the fixes those
apes have got us into.

Yes, people visit the zoos. Some have gone into the jungle as well.

It won't allow descendants of apes to rule over descendants of man.

Who said anything about anyone ruling over anyone else?

Who said that anyone wants an apeboy ruling over him?

Monkeys will be monkeys.

Monkeys expose themselves. You exposed yourself. Therefore, you're a
monkey.
See, that was easy...

Never made it high school, did you? It's a shame. A man of your
caliber would really have enjoyed shop and study hall. Ever think of
studying for the GED? Of course you have, but you're afraid. Go for
it. You never know. With 10 or 12 tries, and lots of hard work, you
could yet get a general diploma.

What is it about that species that has been unable to evolve in 4.5 billion

At which point they would be dead monkeys.

Monkeys, as a species, have not been around anywhere near that long.
But JDW is more closely related to amoeba, which have.

Monkeys were around when the Earth was forming?
How'd they deal with the surface being molten?

You think just because someone has thought up any hare brained idea that it
should be inserted into a public school curriculum before being tested
scientifically and fleshed out in peer review.
