Object: School to Probe Controversial Field Trip to Planned Parenthood
No child should be exposed to such a horrific experience, unless
accompanied by a parent or member of the clergy. Heads should roll for
this

MANCHESTER -- The city school board early this morning voted for an
investigation into last week's field trip that brought middle school
students to a Planned Parenthood office in Manchester. The school
board instructed school administrators to investigate the matter,
recommend any changes needed to school policies and decide if any
disciplinary action needs to be taken. "It needs to happen
immediately," Mayor Frank Guinta said about the investigation. He said
it shouldn't take more than a few days. On Wednesday, students in the
STAY program, a program for at-risk middle school students that is
operated by the YMCA, visited the Planned Parenthood offices as part
of a field trip to social service agencies throughout the city. They
were confronted by pro-life groups who normally picket the agency.
School board member Doug Kruse yesterday said the field trip violated
the trust of parents. Full story...

Member of the "clergy"!!!!!! You've got to be kidding J(erk) Young. Who
would prevent the "member of the clergy" from molesting the child?

Hey, consider it like a trip to the zoo, except these monkeys hold pickets.

Just for a while there, you had me confused. I thought this referred
to the original Manchester in the UK. There wouldn't have been any
controversy there because we still believe in educating children in
the UK.
I see my mistake now. We don't have an equivalent of "Planned
Ignorance" over here.

And this explains why teen pregnancy and teen abortion rates are much
lower in UK than in the USA.
J Young isn't intelligent enough to see a direct relation between this
ignorance and these rates... Don't blame him though, he has "god on
his side"...

Per capita???
Now, the only way I would object to this field trip is if the children
were young..say 13 years and younger, and the parents were not
notified. Other than that, it's possible that a trip like this just
MIGHT discourage a child from getting pregnant in the first place, and
second, might discourage a young girl from wanting to get an abortion.
The most important thing we must do to educate children is to expose
them to the reality of raising a child. I did this with my oldest
daughter. When my wife and I had our first son, she was 10. She saw
what we went through, and we made sure she saw the diaper changing,
the getting up at 1 in the morning, ect...
She knows the responsibility involved. Today she is 19, starting her
career, and thank God, never been in a situation where she would have
even considered abortion. In fact, she is totally opposed to abortion.
Young girls need to learn how to NOT get into the situation to begin
with. We need to teach "prevent"..pro-active instead of reactive.
The goal is to reduce the abortion rates as much as possible. I know
it's not going to happen, but the goal should be to illiminate
abortions all together.

Do you actually think a field trip included a guided tour of an
operating room?

Why? Which one? A representative of every existing religion?
