Object: Science and the Ingenuity of God
are you blinded by Science?
or do you take scientific discovery in your stride?
my theory is that all Scientists are merely proving the Ingenuity of
Our Lord Creator, and when one is successful, He may just think "Clever
Human!"
but a lot of Scientists merely use their knowledge to think that they
are greater than God because they have cracked his code and they go on
to "realise" that there is no God...
I believe that the Natural Law has been placed here by God and at
anytime, God may choose to bend the rules of Science to prove the
Atheists wrong...but only as a warning, so that they may repent...

False dichotomy. Try "excited by scientific discovery" as at least one
other option.

my theory is that all Scientists are merely proving the Ingenuity of
Our Lord Creator, and when one is successful,

That is not a theory. A theory is required to be supported by empirical
evidence.

He may just think "Clever
Human!"

She may just think. Stooopid footybet.

Your evidence for this slander would be?

You certainly have the right to believe in whatever nonsense appeals to
you. However, that imposes no obligation on anyone else to take it
seriously Š or to treat it as anything other than nonsense.

You idiot! I'm _excited_ by scientific discovery! I exult in it! My
brain lights up like California on the 4th July!

my theory is that all Scientists are merely proving the Ingenuity of
Our Lord Creator, and when one is successful, He may just think "Clever
Human!"

The trouble with this sort of twaddle is that His ingenuity seems
remarkably limited - after all He got the vertibrate retina inside out!
Of course, this type of mistake is entirely consistent with an
unconscious natural process...

but a lot of Scientists merely use their knowledge to think that they
are greater than God because they have cracked his code and they go on
to "realise" that there is no God...

My dad once accused me of thinking I'm God, so I pointed out that
atheism means that I don't believe in gods at all and that if I thought
I was a god, then I couldn't be ab atheist.
There is one good thing about your line of reasoning though, it does
prove that my dad isn't alone in his woeful stupidity.

I believe that the Natural Law has been placed here by God and at
anytime, God may choose to bend the rules of Science to prove the
Atheists wrong...but only as a warning, so that they may repent...

And I can't prove you wrong, which is why this twaddle won't tell
anybody anything about the world or God. However, Darwinism can in
principle be proven wrong so with every confirmation we learn and grow
a little more as a people. Darwinism is fruitfull, fundy Christianity
barren.

Not so far. When I was too young to know better I once
looked down a laser beam and almost blinded myself,
which I suppose comes close.

Pretty much.

Our Lord Creator, and when one is successful, He may just think "Clever

That's nice.

Yes, I can just imagine the scene when the first
transistor was created. "Success! We've made
computers a thousand times smaller and more reliable!
Surely we are now ready to proclaim ourselves as
GREATER THAN GOD!"

because they have cracked his code and they go on
to "realise" that there is no God...

How can you think you are greater than god if you
think there is no god?

I believe that the Natural Law has been placed here by God and at
anytime, God may choose to bend the rules of Science to prove the
Atheists wrong...but only as a warning, so that they may repent...

Good for you. But you must surely understand that the
fact that you believe this doesn't make it so, and
that you can't expect any sensible person to take you
at all seriously unless you can actually produce a
good argument to support your belief, right?

This brings to mind the following anecdote:
I was visiting a friend in erm, hospital (as in a locked ward) when one
of her fellow inmates came up to me. He asked me if I believed in
anything, which I said was kind of a strange question. He went on to
say that I must believe in God or I would belong to the devil. He
added, which amused me greatly: "I'm only in here because I was telling
people about god".
