Semeia kai terata: Signs and wonders |
This Sunday morning the Russian Imperial Family attended services at Our
Imperial Parish Church, St. Basil's, in the fashionable western suburbs of
Houston, Texas. Accompanying Us, the symbolic Czar Nicholas III, were Our
Earthly Consort, the Czarina Dina, and Her Imperial Highness Princess Irenie,
the Duchess of Larisa, our second daughter. Her Imperial Highness Czarevicha
Caterina, our oldest daughter, had to participate in a car wash fund raiser for
the National Honor Society club of her high school, that she belongs to.
One of the two Bible readings today was from the Acts of the Apostles,
5:12-20. It begins (in the original Greek):
"Dia de ton kheiron ton Apostolon egineto semeia kai terata en to lao
polla."
That is,
"And by the hands of the Apostles were many signs and wonders wrought
among the people."
The Greek word "terata", usually translated as "wonders", carries the
connotation "monstrous wonders", or "extraordinary wonders". After the
Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, St.
Peter and the other Apostles were able to work extraordinary miracles in
Jerusalem, healing the sick by just passing their own shadow over them.

around the times of Christmas 2001 and Easter 2002 had cured me of a lingering
cold and a debilitating headache, respectively.
Over the years I have recorded in the Newsgroups many, many other such
"semeia kai terata", "signs and monstrous wonders", revealed through the life
and career of Her Imperial Majesty Adelheid II, the symbolic Empress of the
Holy Roman Empire, a.k.a. Heidi Klum.
The fact that St. Peter and the other Apostles were able to work such
"terata", such "extraordinary miracles", raised the ire of the High Priest and
his associates in the Temple of Jerusalem:
"Then the High Priest rose up, and all they that were with him, which is
the sect of the Saducees, and were filled with indignation, and laid their
hands on the Apostles and put them in the common prison." (Acts 5:17:18)
The High Priest had just managed to arrest and try Jesus a few weeks
before and he had persuaded Pontius Pilate to execute Him. Jesus rose from the
dead on the third day, but the High Priest had chosen not to believe that, but
that there was fraud, supposedly, involved on the part of the Apostles,
stealing the body of Jesus from the tomb.
The High Priest thought that he could arrest the Apostles and have them
executed, as well. Well, the Entities had a different plan in mind:
"But the Angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought
them (the Apostles) forth, and said,"
"Go, stand and speak in the Temple to the people all the words of this
life." (Acts 5:19-20)
Once the Divine Sacrifice of the Son of God Himself had fulfilled the
Divine Plan, there was no need for immediate, additional sacrifices by His
followers. The task at hand was to spread the Gospel, in Jerusalem first, and
the whole wide World later.
The Apostles followed the command of their liberating Angel, preached in
Jerusalem and the rest of the World. Later on, years later, all of the
Apostles, except for St. John the Evangelist, suffered violent deaths, to show
that their faith in Christ was "unto death". Having witnessed the Resurrected
Lord in their midst in Jerusalem, they had no doubt that their own martyrs'
deaths would be followed by Life Everlasting.
St. John the Evangelist was spared a violent death, because, it seems, he
had defied death already by standing at the foot of his Lord's Croos, the only
one among the male Disciples. St. John was there at the foot of the Cross,
endangering his own life, the only one among the other male Disciples to do so.
Thus, the plans of the High Priest went astray. The Gospel of Our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ has continued to be preached in Jerusalem and the rest
of the World unto the present day. "Semeia kai terata", "signs and monstrous
wonders", healings and other extraordinary developments, continue to the
present day.
The Angel of the Lord liberated the Apostles from their prison and
commanded them to keep preaching the Gospel.
My own personal Archangel, Our Lady Heidi Klum, has liberated me from my
own kind of prison and set me on the road to preach the Gospel anew.
Semeia kai terata.
