Semi - Regular Evil Atheist Quote -- No Conscience Required |
"I came to carry out the struggle, not to kill people. Even now, and you can
look at me: am I a savage person? My conscience is clear."

Just gotta love those communists eh? Seriously, what has the whole atheist
thing brought to the world, other than maniacal mass murderers or witty
smart-asses?

Until very recently (and maybe even now) most atheists were communists, and
of course most communists are atheists.
Communists had no interest in religion but certainly made sure that no
religion would challenge to their one party systems. They did not go on the
street corners chanting 'we are atheists' atheism did not interest them
When asked whether they should ban religions in other countries they just
laughed and said "If people want to believe in superstition in other countries
let them go ahead and do so".
Theists, when short on ammunition, as they nearly always are, use this
communist atheist thing like some magical manifestation. It amounts to
nothing more than a lack of understanding.

I don't buy your claim. But even if true, so what?
I want someone to show me (and no one has managed this) how the simple
lack of belief in something can be a proximate cause of anything.

You have done a survey?
When? Where? Sample size?
Spill the beans - this should be interesting.

Please don't speak for me. Yes, communism has had strong ties with

the failures of communism make atheistic views any less valid? Of
course not.

Christianity has had (often still has though not much in the US these

are socialist?

By the way, it's interesting that the quote you've presented contains: "I
came to carry out the struggle..." Now you don't have any context to
provide an antecedent. What is "the struggle" he's talking about?
Or did you leave that out on purpose because he's NOT talk about atheism?

The quote is somewhat mangled. He was referring to the struggle against
his political opponents. Strangely enough he meant the communist
Vietnamese.

I dont even think it has brought that to the world.
For a few it has meant a release from the self loathing and crippling
fear of hell - and allowed them to find peace and balance.
For some others it has brought a freedom to search for truth.
But, generally, its a non event.

Curses, curses.

Christian children? TRUE Christian children???
<drool>
I'll get the barbecue on!
I'll bring the potato salad! Mmmmm, BBQ!!
