Separation of Church and Campaign |
<Vent mode engaged>
Kerry was in town today campaigning at an AME church. It is really sad that
in a country where we (allegedly) have separation of church and state that
politicians have to make public displays of faith to get elected.
<Vent mode disengaged>
Atheists/agnostics/freethinkers/humanists ought to form a PAC strong enough
to make the politicians pander to us for a change. Probably it won't happen
in my lifetime, but one can hope.

"Christianity has such a contemptible opinion of human
nature that it does not believe a man can tell the truth
unless frightened by a belief in God. No lower opinion
of the human race has ever been expressed."
-- Robert Green Ingersoll
