Object: Separation of Church and State Group
There is a newsgroup on Google Groups titled separation-church-state
that sole purpose is to discuss the first amendment and how it relates
to us today. People on both sides of this issue are welcome to post
their thoughts on this new ng.
The opinion of Atheists are very welcome. Why do you object to people
praying in the schools? What's wrong with the ten commandments being
posted in public places? I would like to read your opinions at the
site. I hope to see both sides of this hot-button issue more
objectively.
Thank you,
Hims

How about some Anton LeVay parks, or accomodations for the many religions,
in YOUR public places and YOUR public schools.

The opinion of Atheists are very welcome. Why do you object to people
praying in the schools?

Why do you make assumptions about what other people object to?

What's wrong with the ten commandments being
posted in public places?

It's not really all ten of them, mostly just the first 4.
I would like to read your opinions at the

Sure.

Would Christians object to Muslims opening their prayer rugs and bowing
to Mecca in schools? or Parsi Towers of Silence in every playground? Or
equal representation of other religions?
I think Christian parents, particularly the fundies, would scream
bloody murder if anyone tried anything like that in a school contianing
any of their precious little darlin's.

What's wrong with the ten commandments being

When equivalent documents from from all other religions get equal
representation, then ask again.

The founders of our country said everything that needs to be said on the
matter. Go learn something. For once.

We don't.

What's wrong with the ten commandments being posted in public places?

Doing so would violate the law.

I would like to read your opinions at the site.
