Separation Of Church And State Is It What God Wants? |
When you reach the Land that the Lord your God is giving you,
and occupy it, and settle down in it, and then declare to yourself:
"I must place a king over me like all the nations around me,"
make sure you place over you the king your God chooses.
You must choose one of your countrymen king over you.
You shall not put a foreigner over you who is not from among
your brethren...
As soon as he takes his seat on his royal throne, he must write
for himself a copy of this Law/Torah, he must keep it and
read it all the day of his life that he may learn to revere the Lord
his God, by being careful to observe all the Law and serve with
justice his fellow men. Deut 17:14-20
How can anyone tell me that this God is nolonger interested in
matters related to states, therefor we should separate Church and State?
This God is the source of Law and the God of principalities and dominions
How could he possibly be indiferent to politics?
WOE TO THOSE WHO SAY:"LET US SEPARATE CHRIST AND STATE."

So where did DNA come from ?
Why ask that question? Can't stand to have some unsolved mystery

Even if the answer *is* trivial, and misplaced. The question he wants

That last would be your 'fact of'.
So all you really mean to say is:
The Theory of evolution is that evolution is caused by mutation and .
.. mutation.
Did you mean something other than, mutation, by "incorrect copying of
DNA"?

Gee, Markie, still being obtuse. (I'll give you a minute to pull up a
dictionary for that one. Got it...good!) This is quite easy: If
*you* remember what I wrote, and *I* remember what I wrote, there can
be no valid reason to ask me to write it again. This leads to only
two possible conclusions: Either (1) You can't remember what I wrote
and refuse to look it up, or (2) You do remember, but are trying to
play some sort of game instead of addressing the topic. Which part of
this do you have trouble understanding?

Evolutionism, Al. That's why science doesn't enter into it. I mean,

Because you act like a jerk? I guess that's "to smile".
Seriously, what I find funny is that you say you're an evolutionist -
with a straight face. That gag is funny. You can't define what
evolutionism . . IS. You apparently couldn't understand what someone
in the field was saying about it. I posted part of a conclusion from

Maybe you just don't get the joke, I suppose. But you can't say it's
not funny when a guy insists he confesses a creed and then when asked

You mean that there is no translation of the Latin - no 'facing
pages'.
But I would argue to the contrary, particularly as I typed in every
word, at one point:

Theorem: All numbers are equal.
Choose arbitrary a and b, and let t = a + b.
(a + b)(a - b) = t(a - b)
a^2 - b^2 = ta - tb
a^2 - ta = b^2 - tb
a^2 - ta + (t^2)/4 = b^2 - tb + (t^2)/4
(a - t/2)^2 = (b - t/2)^2
a - t/2 = b - t/2
a = b

Don't talk about science, Al. We're talking evolutionism, here.
Which I have pointed out to you, time and again, is not science, and
is certainly not a good representation of evolutionary science. I'm
glad it's starting to sink in.

No-one will think the worse of you if you admit your fault. We only

However, the point of this is, or was, do you want to discuss the
SCIENCE of EVOLUTION? Not the RELIGION of fundie-made EVOLUTIONISM.

But see, Al, that you're oxymoron. And look at another way. Remember,
when I quoted excerpts from a paper written by a guy who actually used
the word, evolution, in his conclusion, you had no clue what he was
talking about. I asked repeatedly for your comment, your
clarification, your depth of understanding. And of course, you were
silent.

Al, the first President of the United States was, and complete the
sentence . . . and I gave you even the URL for the White House
website, with their bio of President Washington (oops . . did I give
it away?).

I know about 5 people who will faint dead away, and one 'super-expert'
who will stroke out if he has to admit he's wrong.
And then there's me, who has bet a helluva lot of money on St. *****
never admitting he's wrong, and I don't want to lose all that cash. I
have a dog to feed, ya know.

But you've a problem, there. It's the same old problem:
Our founding fathers did not want to limit, or chill, the free
exercise of religion.
*Must* be the new soundbite!
You also remember what I said, now - right:
"That's not the gubment's business to stifle the free exercise of
religion. There may be harm in certain practices, violence and civil
crimes. But nothing like that occured in the case of Justice Moore and
his granite block."
If you mean harm to you, sure.
"You only had about three Catholics. You had a bunch of
Congregationalists, not surprisingly. There were a fair number of
Presbyterians. You had Episcopaleans, like Pres. Washington. There was
a Huguenot who signed the articles, as did at least one Catholic - so
politics. You only had about three or four Quaker/Shakers. And so on.
There were some one just . . didn't know. Believe it or not, there was
actually someone from the Church of England, of all things. So you've
got Anglicans, Huguenots, Catholics, and Quakers, along with the
'respectable' Episcopalean and Methodist, etc. All of them worked
together."
Gee, there were Anglicans as well as Episcopaleans? What a remarkable
coincidence...

See, that's why - groups.google.com. A ng poster's friend.
