Separation of church, state can only weaken our nation

I think the so-called "separation of church and state" greatly hinders our
country. Without church and religious influences in making laws, no one has
a reason to care about each other. All morals and basic principles are
based on religious beliefs about equality, fairness, and sovereignty.
When religious references are removed from courthouses and government
buildings, it really mars society. Even if you don't believe in a God, the
religious references in courthouses are just basic morals that any person,
religious or not, would have no problem observing.
It is hard to believe that in a moral society, some of the greatest moral
codes are being removed from government buildings. Government makes laws
based on general morality.

Most religious leaders want separation - they don't want government
telling them how to run their religions.

"Atheism is the world of reality, it is reason, it is freedom. Atheism is
human concern, and intellectual honesty to a degree that the religious mind
cannot begin to understand. And yet it is more than this. Atheism is not an
old religion, it is not a new and coming religion, in fact it is not, and
never has been, a religion at all. The definition of Atheism is magnificent in
its simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of
madness."

Morality is a subjective personal thing. Law and order has to be
neutral and accepted by everyone. Therefore the state has to separate
completely from moral or religious matters.
When religious references are removed from courthouses and government
buildings, it really mars society. Even if you don't believe in a God, the
religious references in courthouses are just basic morals that any person,

I disagree. What about "observe the Sabbath" or "only JHVH is god, and
all others are cursed"? Some like to rest on Sunday, others Saturday,
others Friday, others like everyday holiday and others are workoholics.
Some have no god, some have other gods, some have the same god with
different descriptions. Morality is a personal decision and has nothing
to do with law.
