Object: Separation of *What* Church and State?
Sitting here awaiting that food order that I now know is not coming has
given me time to reflect on just what *kind* of people are now gaining the
upper-hand in the alleged separation between Church and State we are
supposed to enjoy. (See 'Buckeye's' post titled, 'Sep. C S no longer law of
the land in America'.)
May I remind you all that the individuals who have been 'toying' with the
delivery (and at times (*non*-delivery) and contents of my food supply are
'Christians'. In fact, the only source for local foodstuffs left me out here
is solely in the hands of a Christian man of the cloth. Not very
'Christian-like', to toy with my food supply is it?
Oh, I should be appreciative that I receive *any* food from these people
now, shouldn't I? Well, in fact, I am. But that doesn't make up for the
odious nature of what is being done with that food supply, does it?
So when we talk about the separation of Church and State what 'churches' are
we talking about exactly? The kind of churches and clergy men and women that
would willingly participate in the inhumane treatment of the unbeliever for
having extremely well-based reasons for not believing in the existence of
deity?
Only bad people do what's being done to me out here. *Really* bad people.
I didn't know that you give a tax-exempt status to institutions that would
participate in such loathsome activities. And where's does that
noble-sounding stuff about loving your neighbor as yourself and that you
should treat others in the very same way you would like to be treated in the
main? Doesn't come into play when someone has a difference of opinion with
you?
This is hate of the atheist being manifested out here. And those who have
done nothing about -- and *still* refuse to do nothing about it -- should be
made to pay for it as well. Funny how things tend come back and bite
evil-doers squarely on the ***** given enough time. And what is that old adage
again? The bigger you are the harder you fall?
It's time new life is given our once great country. And if people are
worried about 'change', well, want to keep around the status quo?
And lets get back to rebuilding that wall separating Church and State.
Religious liberty for religious Americans of *all* faiths, or no faith at
all, is at stake here. We must not let it slip away. And especially not at
the hands of 'Christians' who have no business calling themselves that (as
the toying around with my food supply well illustrates) and who act in a
manner that would make the Jesus of the gospels get down on his hands and
knees and weep in sorrow like there's no tomorrow.
