Sex-abuse charges against retired Catholic bishop dropped |
Here's an article that "Yang" missed in his daily 'J Young Christian of the
Day'. One thing the lunatic fringe left hates is news that refutes the daily
lies that they love to post. More and more revelations of false accusations
are surfacing every day. Decent, intelligent people have always known that
most of these charges against the clergy are nothing more than a blatant
attempt to extort monies from the RCC.
http://www.catholic.org/international/international_story.php?id=21084
DUBLIN, Ireland (CNS) - An Irish prosecutor will not proceed with charges of
child abuse against retired Bishop Eamonn Casey of Galway, Ireland, said a
brief statement from the Irish Catholic Communications office.
In November, 79-year-old Bishop Casey was accused by a woman of abusing her
as a child. At the time of the accusation he was serving as a curate in
Hayward's Heath, England, and according to church guidelines he was
immediately suspended from clerical duties. The complainant, a woman from
Limerick, Ireland, who now lives in England, had made similar allegations
against other clerics; those claims subsequently were found to be
unsubstantiated.

Do you know why Bishop Casey is living quietly in retirement?
he is not the right man to pick to portray an innocent blameless martyr.
Let me refresh your memory:
Dr Casey was ordained as a priest in 1951. He worked in Britain for a period
where he was active in social housing and Irish emigrant circles, and was
appointed bishop of Kerry in 1969. During his tenure in Kerry, he developed a
relationship with Annie Murphy, but the affair and birth of a baby son, Peter,
was unknown when he was appointed bishop of Galway in 1976.
He continued his active public life, including involvement in Catholic
development agency Trócaire, until his sudden departure. Over £70,000 in Galway
diocesan funds which had been taken for maintenance was repaid after his
departure by close friends of the bishop.

Has anyone noticed an extraordinary irony here? The Catholic Church's
tradition of pederasty, pedophilia, and general depravity and their
tradition of covering up the scandal thereof is now so widely known and
condemned, that the Youngpecker thinks it is HEADLINE NEWS when an
allegation of sexual abuse on the part of a Catholic priest may be

The former bishop has an interesting "rap sheet":
- banned from England for drunk driving
- adultery and fathering a child while bishop
- fled to South America rather than face the music
- embezzlement

I can certainly understand why JoYo would be so quick to leap to his
defense.
There is some very nice irony in all this. As mentioned at the links
above, the decline of the catholic church in Ireland can be traced to
Casey's admission of adultery. The Irish prosecutor's office has decided
not to pursue charges and Casey has been allowed to return to Ireland.
So, instead of clearing the air there will now be a long standing cloud
over the church, thus further eroding it's credibility.
Enjoy your pyrrhic victory, JoYo!

Josef

Have you ever thought about the thousand of people that did not make
charges, out of pure shame?
How on earth is one going as an adult to accuse the priest who fucked
his ***** as a young lad?
On the other, think of the many lads were properly ***** fucked and loved
it. In that case he would found not reasons to complain. And I heard
that many people loved the act when they were properly ***** fucked. The
only trouble with that idea is that almost nobody is keen about his
children being sodomized.
So there are other considerations. Why are the preasthood so fucking
bastards creating such a monster out of sodomy? I have always heard a
lot of stories about sodomy in the RCC seminaries.
Sodomy was always alive among the clergy class, and they were praying
always on the kids and adolescents. People in those times did not dare
to accuse a priest of sodomizing his lad. It could be rather dangerous
for the health and wellbeing of the whole family. Even if a neighbor
sodomized your son, you would not put forward a charge. It would be to
put a bad name not only to the boy, but to the whole family. People
would be gossiping for decades and saying "he is father of Ralph, the
boy that was sodomized by Jon, the butcher." Or even the name of the
boy would be in gossip for his whole life, "this is Ralp, he was
sodomized by Jack, the blacksmith".
Or looked, a little better, "this is Ralp, he was sodomized by father
Joseph, a former parson who was here twenty years ago. Father Joseph
was so endowed, that the poor lad had trouble walking for nearly a
week."

He did not "admit" any such thing - he was simply pointing out the
spin the Catholic Church and others have used in the past to whitewash
the issue by trying to blame gays who are attracted to adult men for
the behavior of priests who were attracted to children (not to mention
the higher-ups who tried to sweep the scandal under the rug).

The fact that the accuser was a WOMAN raises a lot of red flags.
Of course, while fraudulent accuisations must be punished, it is
worthy to note that these accusations were enabled by the one true
church covering up real cases of boy rape by priests.

Funny how you hade to choose Eamon Casey, you do realise he was a
complete embarrassment to your church and was fundamental in the Irish
starting to loose all respect in him and the church.
He had a long term affair with a divorced woman and even fathered a
child. Way to go holding him up.

So many crimes, it is just hard to keep them all in mind. Yet even
today the Catholic Church still tries to claim he was a good
leader....seesh, when will they learn.

LC~ "J" and his myriad socks really seem to have some deep-seated issues.
"There is no great mystery. The Jews, and only the Jews, killed
Christ. That is why God has cursed the Jews with pogroms. The so-called
holocaust is a direct result of killing Jesus. The 6 million number is
a gross exageration..."
