Sharon shows some brain activity but remains unconscious |
Maybe this stroke was a blessing in disguise; Sharon never showed any signs
of brain activity before.

Sharon shows some brain activity but remains unconscious
Ariel Sharon's doctors said that the Israeli leader showed some brain
activity yesterday after he breathed on his own and moved his limbs slightly
as he began to emerge from a medically induced coma, five days after a
stroke.

'Realism is seductive because once you have accepted the reasonable notion
that you should base your actions on reality, you are too often led to
accept, without much questioning, someone else's version of what that
reality is. It is a crucial act of independent thinking to be skeptical of
someone else's description of reality.'-

Messages in alt.atheism don't have to deal only with
atheism. They just have to be of interest to the
atheists in the newsgroup.

You're absolutely right. But is a posting on Sharon relevant for
discussion here? I'm sure I can find someone interested here in
discussing the music of Miles Davis or the books of Paul Auster, but
that still doesn't have anything to do with atheism...
I wonder if J Young has a clue how things work here since all he does
is send is crap -related or not to the discussion group-, especially if
it is offensive.

Like most bigots, J. Young posts negative things about Israel because
he hates Jews - and, with the same limited mentality, throws a.a. into
the mix because "naturally" you will hate Jews, too.

Logic which extended beyond the bounds of Israel, would claim that anyone
who does not support military aid and money to Ian Paisley and his boys is a
true Christian hater.
If America were to close its borders and not have any involvement with any
other country, weirdos like Suzie would call it an anti-semitic act.

I'm most familiar with jeeoids. The more religious they are the less human
they become. The worst of the lot are no better than Muslim terrorists except
for the fact that they haven't exploded yet.

I'll have to take your word on that, seeing as how you're the one with
