Franken's considering running for office himself in 2008, as one of
Minnesota's Senators. He'd be running against Norm Coleman, a
Republican, if he decides to go for it.

The election changed its dynamic when the governor was killed. There was
a great outpouring of sympathy in a very close race. Note this this is

The polls were tight before the governor was killed in the plane crash.
Ashcroft suspended his campaigning and commercials:

#begin quote
Ashcroft suspended his campaign shortly after the plane crash but
tentatively went back on the stump Monday. He said he has no plans to
resume airing television commercials.
#end quote
There was a tremendous outpouring of sympathy for the widow and that
changed what was an extremely competitive race, with Ashcroft in a dead
heat in the polls, into a chance for Ashcroft to be the attorney
general, you know, just exactly as I claimed from the start.

O'Really said that that was an option. That was Olberman's
"Rediculous item of the day." lol
If he runs, I can't wait to see Al Franken's commentary.
Franken's considering running for office himself in 2008, as one of
Minnesota's Senators. He'd be running against Norm Coleman, a
Republican, if he decides to go for it.
In America, anyone can run for office. That is the problem.
