I don't get it. These morons have the gaul to call logical thought shameful,
but actually believe that any theological argument is sound. Fucking
Nutters.

I don't get it. These morons have the gaul to call logical thought

Fucking Nutters.

http://www.betonjesus.com/dear-atheists.html

From the URL:
"Dear Atheists,
we are all sick and tired of your attempts to bring dubious things into
this debate such as facts or reason, when all truth has been revealed by
the Lord (Prov. 30:5; Rom. 16:25,26; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20,21).
BetOnJesus will no longer stand on the sidelines, we will expose all
these acts of heresy with the 'Atheist Hall of Shame' and contrast it
with the 'Godly Hall of Fame'. Praise Jesus."
---------------------------------------------
So facts and reason are dubious? Let's look at some of their "facts".
"Prov. 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put
their trust in him.
30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found
a liar."
What could be said, therefore, of those who rationalize bible verses,
making them say what they wish them to say? What about stuff lost in
translation? There are no original bibles. How do they know they are
following "Every word of God"?
"2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:"
Yet they trust the scribes' ability to correctly put His Word on paper.
What is a scribe worth, compared to a king? Why wasn't the Word given to
kings, instead of a bunch of shepherds and their scribes?
"2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is
of any private interpretation.
1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy
men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
Once again, the bible is not open for interpretation, therefore we must
accept every word, verbatim, as the Law. Therefore we must ignore
scientific fact that contradicts scripture, such as evolution, non-
geocentricism, medical science, geology, astronomy, etc.
Thanks to the OP, he just proved the bible is false.

That's because, when you're dealing with fundies, it's almost
impossible to take your parody far enough that someone familiar with
fundies can tell the difference. Trust me, I grew up a fundamentalist
christian, and some of the "parody" that gets posted around here
sounds *exactly* like what the Babtists taught me when I was but an
ignorant and helpless sprog.
