Short, fat people may get rights |

Short, fat people may get rights
Would law stop bias -- or business?
BOSTON -- Ellen Frankel stands just 4-foot-8 inches tall, a size that
allowed larger co-workers to playfully scoop her up at the office and
make remarks about her height. Some even patted her on the head.
Lawmakers are considering complaints such as hers as they review a
bill that would make Massachusetts just the second state to bar
discrimination based on height or weight.
''People in authority will very easily make comments about height that
they wouldn't make about race or gender,'' said Frankel, a Marblehead
author.
Jeanne Toombs understands the frustration. She says overweight people
routinely are discriminated against because of their size.
''It's not fair. No matter what you think of fat people, they deserve
to be treated like human beings,'' said Toombs, 59, a piano teacher
who weighs 300 pounds.
But Republican analyst Todd Domke is concerned that lawmakers will
scare off businesses if they expand protection to include short and
overweight workers.
''We might as well add colorblind, left-handed, allergic-to-cashews,
and get it over with,'' Domke said.

How do fat people have the right to block aisles at the grocery store? If
you forget the milk and have to run back to the dairy section, before your
stuf moves up the belt to the cashier, and the store is full of fat people,
it is a dangerous hazard. i have nothing against little people, in fact I go
out of my way to be nice to them. But fat people are just a hazard. Little
people have no control over being little, but the vast majority of fat
people are that way because they ate too much, more tha they were entitled
to, and sat around atching TV and eating fast food instead of making the
world a better place, which requires getting up off your fanny and only
resting when you have accomplished a change for the better. Fat people are
often in parasitic jobs, like the government bureaucracy, or lower-level
executives. They don't hire little people for those jobs, because you need
to take up space to look important..

Oh! You poor dear!
How difficult a time you must have! "Teamwork." "Be nice to folks." Catching more flies
with sugar than vinegar. And that terrible, "Can't we all just get along?"
Why you just sit down right here <pats chair> and we'll ring up Congress and get that all
taken care of.
How they could tolerate not being able to call folks moronic, immoral, imbeciles is just
beyond the ken of mortal men! Why, it would lubricate the wheels of progress most wonderfully!
Oh, and here's some lotion.

send lil' Suzy into the arms of women forever. It's a wonder the race has survived this
long, really..."

I was joking earlier, but a team is a collection of weak-minded people
who kiss each others' asses rather than think for themselves. I value
my individuality. For instance, I can use the bathroom with other
people around, but it's a lot more enjoyable when I'm alone.

You don't seem to know the definition of a bigot. You see, a "bigot" is
someone whom paints an entire group with a broad brush; one whom
stereotypes the entire group.
A bigot isn't anti-single-person; they're anti-entire-group.
So, while we may find bigots like J Young distasteful, it is because of
HIS actions, not because he's the member of a group. Thus, it's not
bigotry.
