Should I be worried? |

The ice cream vendor just drove by. As he came into sound range I heard
"Jingle bells" and as he faded it was "Silent night"

Y'know what? That's scary. The ice cream guy just drove by HERE, and his
Mozart morphed into "Santa Claus is coming to town".

It doesn't matter. Worrying about something you cannot change is a
tremendous waste of energy and leads to depression, which supports the
drug companies, which gives you more that you can't change to worry
about.
Get the most out of life and contribute to it too, just contribute
wisely. Use your worry power to power your desire for change, and
vote.
Sure you are one billionth, but that's WAY above zero.
Me too.
Enjoy life but do your part. It'll feel better when you are satisfied
that you're doing your part.
NAH I'm full of *****. Fuckit - let apathy win, and we'll all be
corralled into a common pool and at least get fed if we jump through
the hoops on command.

He wears shorts and a singlet and is pulled by 8 white kangaroos. There's
even a Christmas carol about it...."Eight White Boomers"! The big problem
is that most Australian homes don't have a chimney...so when I used to be a
shopping center Santa it was either "Your mum and dad let me in" or "I have
a magic key that opens the doors just for me".

Yep .... Rolf Harris ..... 'Six White Boomers' ......
(Harrison - Brown) Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd / EMI (P) 1965
Arr. Johnnie Spence - Produced by George Martin
Early on one Christmas Day, a Joey Kanga-roo
Was far from home and lost in a great big zoo
Mummy, where's my mummy, they've taken her a-way
We'll help you find your mummy son, hop on the sleigh
[Verse:]
Up beside the bag of toys, little Joey hopped
But they had'nt gone far when Santa stopped
Un-harnessed all the reindeer and Joey wondered why
Then he heard a far off booming in the sky
[Chorus:]
Six white boomers, snow white boomers
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun
Six white boomers, snow white boomers
.. On his Aus-tra-lian run
Pretty soon old Santa began to feel the heat
Took his fur-lined boots off to cool his feet
Into one popped Joey, feeling quite OK
While those old man kangaroos kept pulling on the sleigh
Joey said to Santa, Santa, what about the toys
Aren't you giving some to these girls and boys
They've all got their presents son, we were here last night
This trip is an extra trip, Joey's special flight
Soon the sleigh was flashing past, right over Marble Bar
Slow down there, cried Santa, it can't be far
Come up on my lap son, and have a look around
There she is, that's mummy, bounding up and down
Well that's the bestest Christmas treat that Joey ever had
Curled up in mother's pouch all snug and glad
The last they saw was Santa headed northward from the sun
The only year the boomers worked a double run

SNORT!
I remember the first time my then-boyfriend, now-husband showed me how you
can quickly black out your teeth using small pieces of that dark paper

Also, did you know that if you jam a piece of popped popcorn on your front

Rather sappy, but still beats "Grandma Got Run Over by a
Reindeer".
You should hear my song, "Crushed Elves" (They got in Santa's Way)
Or maybe not.
<chuckle> Sounds like a potential classic! :)
Hey, the witchling's favorite Xmas song is "Jingle Bells, Batman
smells, Robin laid an egg, etc., etc." (Not that I really appreciate
hearing it year round) :)
You laid an egg?! Is there a video?
I hear the DVD is already on the street.
It took a month to wipe the smile off the egg's...umm... face.
Is it just me or is there fun being had at my expense? Hrumph! ;)

I just remembered the Gaham Wilson cartoon with an evil looking Santa Claus
coming out of the chimney glaring at a little boy in bed. "What's this about
you being a bad boy?" was the essence of the caption

I like the one where a skeleton in a Santa Claus suit is found
inside a chimney. ;-)

"Well, we found out what's been clogging your chimney since

I always wanted Christmas cards with that cartoon on them. :)

My personal favorite variation on this theme comes from The Parking Lot
is Full:
http://plif.andkon.com/archive/wc062.gif
The caption is, "Sally and Mikey discover the *real* reason why parents
won't let their kids wait up for Santa Clause."
The picture is of a giant spider in a Santa outfit putting presents
under the tree with a couple of very freaked out kids in the
background.
