.. . . You can't understand a phrase such as "Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion" by syllogistic reasoning. Words
take their meaning from social as well as textual contexts, which is why "a
page of history is worth a volume of logic." New York Trust Co. v. Eisner,

That philosophy 'snipit' helped to get me, and my crew, through a good
many combat missions and far too many scary, inflight, emergencies.
It has also played a significant role in helping me to expose the
plethora of radical Christian propaganda and lies that we find at
almost every media turn.

They already did, recently.
Treat all religions fairly. This pagan man died to protect others, of all
faiths and creeds, unlike the so-called Christians of the 80s and 90s
who were squishy-soft on communism.

The State approved it, but the VA is still stonewalling on this issue
and will be for a long time to come I suspect at least till we get rid
of the currant bums. I recall when I was in the Marines I was the only
Pagan in my Platoon and Company and Base for that matter, back then I
had a Chaplain try and tell me I was not really a Pagan, but just doing
it for attention. I understand things are progressing a bit further
now, but we have a long way to go yet.

Actually, they weren't...which is what caused the conflict. The
Republican governor of Nevada and the GOP-dominated state government
decided to overrule the anti-American Christian-supremacist GOP-led
federal government and permit the pentacle on the fallen soldier's
grave, just as the religious affiliation of all other soldiers are.
Governor Guinn refused to let the feds emulate the religious ideologies
of our terrorist enemies and kept government out of it...allowing the
individual citizens to make the choice of their gravesite instead of
big-government. Guinn made a true conservative decision in opposition
of the totalitarian neo-conservatives who have forgotten what
conservatism means.

80s and 90s? They're squishy soft on it today. That's why Bush has in
his cabinet a man who sold nuclear technology to North Korea. Bush is
the best friend Hanoi and Beijing ever had.
