No, he's referring to the near Nazi Republican who ran against Spector
in the Primary election last Tuesday. What's his name - Toomey,
Tommyrot, something like that. Now, if we could just get rid of
Santorum who is just as bad as the guy who lost. The thought of
having two Republican senators that bad was making my hair stand on
end. I'm hoping that Hoeffel, the Democrat running against Spector,
will win in November. If both Spector & Santorun win in November
and Bush wins, too, Oh, my poor Pennsylvania!

Incumbent Republican Arlen Specter squeaked a narrow victory over Pat
Toomey in the Pennsylvania primary yesterday.
The United States has shifted so far to the right in recent years that
Toomey ran an almost-successful campaign depicting Specter as a long-
time liberal.

Geez...until now Specters great accomplishment was inventing a bullet that
shattered a bunch of bones, stopped, changed direction in midair, shattered
a bunch of other bones and then dropped out of John Connely in perfect, (and
easily traceable) condition. Specter is a master of twisting the facts to
fit the theory.
Which has nothing to do with the fact that the fanatical right seems to be
doing better in Pennsylvania than the over-the-horizon right, but that's
just a temporary state of affairs. The real trouble starts when the Birchers
figure out how to galvanize the sleepy but all-powerful Amish vote. Those
people won't use the Diebold machines, which are crooked as coat hangers
anyway, thus forcing the Republicans into a fierce interparty battle over
whether to steal Pennsylvania for Bush or LaRouche in the next presidential
election. Early in the evening, the numbers will be something like...
Bush 42%
LaRouche 41%
Nader 3%
Kerry 1%
Others 13%
By the end of the evening it will be something like
Bush 90%
Larouche 90%
Nader 1%
Kerry 0%
Others 1%
The "recount" will be on and anybody who was paying even a little bit of
attention will be rioting in the streets until Bush sends out whatever
National Guard troops he hasn't gotten slaughtered in Iraq to shoot them.
The vote percentages will be well over 100% and the big TV moment will be
when the "Breaking News" is Arlen Specter stepping up and announcing that
the unpleasant process the fringe right started 41 years ago by killing the
president in the middle of the street (known in Nixon lore as "The Bay of Pi
gs Thing") is now complete. Specter, surrounded by a bunch of generals and
assorted thugs and fixers, will name Bush "El Presidente" for life and sadly
announce that we can't afford to be having elections in this country any
more because too many people were making decisions the far right just didn't
approve of and that's not "democratic." A strangely refreshing breeze of
honesty will be wafting from Washington as the Bush administration openly
features a corporate sponsored military hunta as the "cabinet."

Looks like he's talking about Arlen "Magic Bullet" Specter
defeating the even more extreme-right Patrick J. Toomey.
