Silly church sign |
I saw this one on the way home.
"This is a ch--ch. What is missing?"
I never knew that building was a chmech.

Recently, my favorite sign is a billboard making fun of "Church"
signs Texas has on the highway. They're little yellow diamonds, like
generic warning signs, and they just say "Church" so passers by will
know there's a church around. Of course, they never say Synagogue,
Majid, Shrine or anything else. Anyhow, some defensive driving
company has a billboard with which reads "Exorcise your speed demon"
and on one side is a little yellow diamond sign with the company's
name on it. I thought it was very amusing.

Some fucking wireless network - the traffic's all one way.
Unless you count occasional commands to kill prostitutes or your
children.

I recently had to visit the parents again. They have little magnetic
versions of those "Quotes from God" signs.
You know, someone should sue the makers of those signs on God's
behalf. It's clearly forgery. Like people represent invalids, coma
patients and others who can't represent themselves, seems to me
there'd be a fairly sound legal theory for representing those who
can't defend themselves, which God apparently can't. It's not the
court's job to determine the existence or non-existence of God, so you
can't claim it's defending the non-existent (such wouldn't be legally
viable). But you might be able to make the argument that if God
exists, there must be some very good reason God doesn't speak for
himself, that he is effectively unable to speak for himself due to one
caveat or another imposed upon such a critter. People dishonestly
putting words in his mouth is just downright _wrong_!!! ;-)

Recently in Itaewon (a large foreigner/shopping district in
Seoul) I saw two pathetic t-shi(r)ts for sale:
"When in doubt, read the manual." (I think I need not explain
what toilet paper they refer to.)
"Lord's Gym" featuring a gimp doing pushups with a cross on
his back.
I have *got* to get one of those "Bush the Terrorist" shirts
or make the "John Hinckley fucked up!" shirt (featuring a
picture of a certain political event) that I have always
wanted....

That's because you're one of them gol'derned "Godless Infidels".
Obviously, liberty has everything to do with taking something over.
Just look at Iraq!
