Yep. The only thing I would change would be the last line to: "Revenge of
Jesus Christ. He's back. And he's pissed."
Really, someone needs to save Christianity from Christians. (And save the
rest of us from the theocracy.)

Funny to find that here... I read Sinfest pretty regularly, but I'm
never quite sure what the author's stance is on religion. Sometimes it
comes accross as really preachy.

I don't know what the author's views on religion are, but he does
satirize the Fundamentalists a lot.

Quick history:
Tatsuya Ishida was a student was UCLA circa 1993, and sinfest was a
regular feature on the school newspaper.
As you know, Ishida prefaces his comic strip with some silly saying
(for example: "The Source of All Your Power" in this one). Well, one
of them in 1993 say something to the effect of "Born-Again Satan
Worshipper". The Bible-thumpers on campus went apeshit. The more
interesting part was that more people defended Ishida then attacked
him. Most of them went along the line of "get a life dude".
Ishida had a great time with it. His next few comic strips tweaked the
Bible thumpers. I don't think he's an atheist, but he was no
fundamentalist.

That's really interesting... Sinfest was one of the first webcomics I
discovered when I first got online a few years ago, and I really love
Ishida's art style. These days I'm more interested in strips like
Goats.com and the rest of the dumbrella sites, but I still drop in at
Sinfest every now and then.
And yeah, he's clearly not a fundie. I can't see all the "god as
puppeteer" strips going down to well with that crowd.

Ishida has this hilarious comic strip in reply to the fundies.
The gist of the story:
The goody-two-shoe character (the dude with a halo ) gets a phone call
from an irate fundie and he tried to pacify him, when all of a sudden
the main male protagonist grabs the phone from the goody-two shoe dude
and declares that they are actually a secret Satanic group aimed at
converting all Christians to Satanism. In the backgournd you see the
goody-two shoe dude passing out from sheer shock.
