I have made this claim perfectly clear for 3 years on sci.skeptic.
CLAIM : Anyone within hearing range of me will hear the Truman satelite

The Truman satelite is targetted on me because I am supernatural.
Every day people say to me "I saw the Truman" and "I saw God".

I can tell you that woudn't work. The voices are not their own
mumblings -- otherwise you might expect other people to be able to
hear the voices too. I'm bipolar and for a period of months I was at
least as crazy as Herc here. The mouth never needed to be open or
closed. Sometimes, though, throat and tongue movement went along with
_internal voicas (but not external). I don't think you should take
that to mean that voices are a matter of psychotics "talking to
themselves", though. Visual and even tactile hallucinations can come
up too, and it's hard to imagine how those could be caused by
something analogous to "talking to oneself". My feeling is that it is
all a matter of interpretation of data -- even paranoia.
I don't have any complaint about your post, but a lot of the people
playing with herc seem incredibly callous. It's like the people who
went to visit Bedlam so they could laugh at the crazies. I guess a
lot of them think psychosis is an extreme form of stupidity or
recalcitrance (in which case I can at least lower my scorn), but some
of them seem to be just having their fun with a helpless clown.

No, I have been there and often tend that way still. If I wagged my
finger at people for treating the elephant man like an animal, would
that make me guilty of the same kind of thinking? I'm sorry, Herc,
but I recognize many of my own symptoms in you. I'm not a spastic but
I do tend to go crazy...
I'm not a psychological expert reasoner -- I'm somebody who once set
out to swim across the Atlantic ocean to get back to the US from
England. I saw all kinds of incredible beings. I was being
transformed into an Atlantean with gills. Oh the adventures I was
about to have! Luckily I never made it to the water: my view of the
whole situation changed completely as it was wont to do. I slept
under a bush while imps and such seemed to be stealing pieces of my
brain.
I don't know what's up with you, but -- and forgive me -- I do see
pretty clear signs of some kind of mild psychosis. I don't think you
are a clown. That was me raging against idiots who treat us that way.
Believe me -- I am as close as you will come in these forums to an
understanding and sympathetic friend.
I don't doubt you will take this all wrong and be even more angry at
me than before. I just ask you to _remember this. Review all the
evidence you have for your new ideas. Take it all to task: if it's
real that can't hurt, eh? If it's real then you should come out of it
with much more confidence.

individually no problem, but they usually work in gangs, and a.u.k is their internet depot.
also a lot of nasty people that usually wouldn't bother you in real life are
learning on usenet by mimicking, all us smart dudes in mensa and math get
translated though the layers of social science into the social groups and the
bad eggs can learn enough of the dialect to be a nuisance. its a real problem,
intelligence is not like the strongest man with a sword, its a subtle advantage
that arises in neiches, and being in the minority is amenible to being wiped out.
