Object: Skeptics Disproven
Question to follow...
Managed to catch the very latest Nostradamus-fest
on cable (the Discovery Channel?) and was really
struck by the way they out did themselves with
this one...
Back in the 1980s we rented a "Nostradamus"
video that was hosted/narrated by Orson Wells,
who was already much dead at that point.
Any mention of Bill Clinton? The first Gulf War?
Osama Bin Laden? Bush? The second Gulf War?
Nope.
A few years went by and a re-edited version of that
same Nostradamus "documentary" (this time with
narration provided by Charlton Heston) made it
on to prime time Network television, with the
addition of the first Gulf War and Saddam Hussein
as the anti-Christ.
It seems that Nostradamus had predicted it all, but
only after it happened.
According to this latest Discovery Channel
"documentary," Nostradamus predicted 9/11,
Clinton's Monika Lewinski scandal, Osama
bin Laden & the second Gulf War.
Again, Nostradamus had predicted all of these
things, but only after they had already taken place.
My question is this: WHY AREN'T THESE PEOPLE
BEING MEDICATED?!?!?!?!?
Thank you.

It just goes to show that even educational TV like the Discovery
Channel can get ***** programming.

Discovery Channel stopped being educational a long time ago. For that,
you need to get the more premium version. And, when *that* one becomes
popular, expect the content to be paired down to satisfy the lowest
common denominator once again.

All fortune telling is best done in retrospect.
Watched a sow on the bible code a few weeks back. The contortions
they "professors" went through to describe how the code could predict
events but only after they came true was astounding. I found it hard
to believe many of them had a high school diploma let alone a PhD.
One of them actually said something to the effect that the bible code
is no good for predicting the future but only verifying an event was
prophesied after it had occurred. The Professor that did the same
exact thing with Moby ***** was much more interesting.

We call that a postdiction.
I read (or more precisely, browsed) a book of the uninterpreted
translations of Nostradamus. Quite a tasty word salad. If you can't
find a postdiction in there somewhere for any event you wish to find
then you just aren't trying.

Want to know something scary? Well, maybe not
scary to you but...
If you want a real eye-opener, check out Islamic
prophecy.
It's a lot easier to shoehorn present day events
into Islamic prophecy than anything the bible or
Nostradamus came up with.
For starters, their anti-Christ (or Islamic equivalent
there of) is a white man. And, amongst all the signs
of his coming is the "decadence" that the Islamic
fundamentalists are going insane over -- women's
liberation not the least of their concerns.
What the Christian fundamentalist whack jobs have
to go on, the Islamic fundamentalist whack jobs have
more of... much more... many times more.
The forces at work here? They've got oodles more
pull in the middle east amongst Islamic whack jobs.

It appears that the Xtian whack jobs are trying to get more power as well
and the scary part is that they are succeeding.
