I liked "Death" in Hogfather. I didn't think he was cartoonish (not that
there's anything wrong with that) ;)

It's jaw looked very "plastic" to me, and could well have been
articulated.
If his jaw moved, then he may have been believable to me, but I guess
that I am just a picky pedantic scientist!
I find suspending disbelief to be the most curious of mental concepts.
I will object to an animal cartoon character being able to talk (which
is vaguely plausible, take the example of Sylvester the Cat), but not
to his ability to break, (no: smash!) the laws of physics.
I have noticed that I am not the only inconsistent pedant on this
matter, either!
Perhaps it is not logic, but innate emotion?
A feeling?

Well, the new death is Christopher Lee. You can't get much less
cartoonish than that.

I do have a VHS 3-tape thing of one of Pratchett's witches' trilogy stories

They made two animated miniseries. "Wyrd Systers", and "Soul Music".
They are not too bad, but not terribly good either.

Neato! Hopefully it'll show up over here like "Hogfather" did ;)

And maybe "Death" will be less cartoonish.

Well, the new death is Christopher Lee. You can't get much less
cartoonish than that.

Watch it!

Normally I despair at any of the 'original' programming that comes from
MurdochTV, but the adaptation of The Hogfather they did a while ago was
rather good.
However, David Jason as Rincewind? Hmmmm, doesn't feel right to me...

Right. He's way too old. Rincewind is supposed to be around 30

And rather painfully thin. Sir David is...well...not.
Besides, it will be hard to hear Danger Mouse's voice coming out of
Ankh-Morpork's most cowardly magician.

In the Discworld games, Rincewind was voiced by Eric Idle.

Very true, and I remember that felt like inspired casting when I first
played those games umpteen years ago.
