Slamming The Door In A Persons Face |
About 10 minutes ago some white van pulled up in front of my house, I
was looking out the window at the time and I just watched them walk
all over my lawn, about 6 people got out of the van, they took their
time and stood on my lawn, were in no rush to get off my lawn at all.
Anyway what else is it when a group of people in a white van pull up
in front of your house? It's a bunch of jesus freaks or something.
At first they didn't come to my door, they went to my neighbors house.
Then like 5 minutes later they finally make it to my house. I go to
the door I have the door open and only the screen door closed, so they
can see in. My dog is at the door because he does that when people
bang on the door.
I rush him out of the way so I can slam the door in their faces.
I don't like slamming the door in someones face, but I also don't like
jesus freaks stupid enough to think they're gonna brain wash me into
being as stupid as them.
I guess there's no point to this story except for some people need
better things to do with their lifes than waste it thinking about some
fake guy in the sky.

Geesh! I am of two minds on this one. I normally invite the Jesus-freaks in
because its someone to talk to and because I am so well versed on biblical
matters that I often get a sort of sadistic pleasure in "cleaning their
clock," theologically speaking. They usually don't come back a second time.
But my home burned down last October and the community-at-large has done
nothing to speak of to help me out. The fact that I'm deeeep in Republican
territory and stood up to a local "don" who practically owns the county, (He
helped swindle me out of insurance money.), and the fact that I am a
well-known atheist is probably the reason why the community has behaved the
way it has. But then along comes a professional plumber who happens to be a
Jehovah Witness. He became aware of my predicament and took it upon himself
to provide me with a well-pump and hook me up so that I now have running
water (at least from an outdoor spigot) for the first time in over eight
months. And guess what? As of right now, he hasn't charged me a dime!
Moreover, I haven't even come *close* to hearing a "Jesus" sermon from this
man. So I guess what I'm trying to say, is that even though the Jesus-freaks
can be a nuisance and at times, downright revolting, it is wiser to be
polite to them than be an *****-hole. You never know when you'll need running
water down the road.
