from the article
"God's word tells us about a kind of odor only Christians have ...," the
lesson read. "Christians carry forth the fragrance of Christ wherever they
go by the way they live; that is, they remind people of Him"
but wait....theres more :-(
"Ashlee came home with a worksheet on which she was marked wrong for
answering that "chance" was the reason many animals are colored to match
their surroundings. The teacher indicated that the right answer was "God's
master design," the suit says."
And this from a school teacher no less !!

Sadly, they are both wrong. The correct answer is "Natural Selection".
The animals that did not blend into their surroundings were (a) eaten if
they were prey or (b) failed to eat if they were preditors.

Jesus must have been a real schmuck, then, based on the Christians we
get here...

This is the publisher of the texts the teacher was using. Type
"science" into the search box. It is truly frightening! So this is
why people want to homeschool their kids?!
Exerpts from the site:
Title: "Science - Order and Reality"
Description:Students are introduced to the scientific method and
encouraged to apply it throughout this Christian general science text.
They are given a fascinating study of soil science, plants, the human
body, principles of physical science, atmospheric science, the weather,
classification, microscopy, Creation, and insects.
Title: "Science of the Physical Creation"
Description: Atmosphere, weather, oceanography, earthquakes, volcanoes,
rocks, and fossils are just some of the earth-science topics of this
outstanding text. The geology section includes a good refutation of the
"principle of uniformity" and other ideas of evolutionary philosophers.
Basic concepts of chemistry are presented in a simple and yet accurate
manner, and physics concepts are applied to lasers, computers, and
other electronic devices.
Title: "Matter and Motion in God's Universe
Description: Like the other books in the series, Matter and Motion is
written in the perspective of the founders of modern science: the
belief that God is the Creator of the universe and the Originator of
its order, reason, and reality, and that science is one way for man to
control and master the physical world for the benefit of mankind.
Students begin their study with a section on astronomy, in which they
learn how the heavens proclaim the glory of God. Several chapters
introduce and reinforce the basic principles of matter and motion and
lay the foundation for physics. Chapters on magnetism and electricity
follow, and the text closes with a chapter on science versus the false
philosophy of evolution.
